Dillaman’s Automotive is a full-​service maintenance and automotive repair center. We take care of all foreign and domestic cars and trucks with the exception of exotics. For over 30 years, I have satisfied our customers in the San Bernardino area and their automotive repair needs. Combined, the Dillaman’s Automotive team has over 80 years of experience in car and truck service and repairs.

I founded Dillaman’s Automotive in San Bernardino, CA in 1995 after having serviced the area since 1975. When starting my own shop, I knew what customers wanted and needed when it comes to repairs and have been helping them the best I can since my first day in the shop. My team and I are here to help you get your vehicle up and running without any hassle or stress.

Worse service and over priced for poor workmanship. I got my car towed here because they gave me a quote over the phone that was very resalable. After my car arriving they called me back and said it was going to be a extra $ 300 just for a waterpump job because I had a aftermarket exhaust (witch shouldn’t matter because it’s totally uneccecary to remove the exhaust for a timing belt on a wrx) short story is they knew I already paid to get it towed there and pretty much had to go ahead with the job anyway. When I returned to pick up my vehicle and start it up they had blown out my head gasket (probably drove the car before changing my burnt out waterpump) and they are taking no responsibility for it… they just told me to get a additive for my gasket to make it last longer… THIS IS GOING TO COST ME A LOT OF MONEY TO FIX THANKS GUYS

Horrible experience. Took my car for what seemed to be a simple power steering pump replacement. Get my car back the next day and still leaking worse than before, but now my wallet is $ 500 lighter. Take it back and says its gonna be another $ 320, of which $ 210 is for labor… should it be free since you could have done it right the first time? Well it wasn’t. And the mark up on the part was 80%. Very defensive and unapologetic for not recommending the right job the first time I took it in. Do not recommend, would not go back. All in all $ 830 gone for a power steering pump replacement!

My Dad had taken his vehicles here for years. He had nothing but great things to say and Larry always gave him a fair price. A few weeks ago I had successfully changed my spark plugs but for some reason the brakes weren’t working. I took it into Larry hoping it was nothing major. Turns out I had crossed some vacuum hoses and air got into the brake lines. He got me back on the road in a few hours and the price was great. I would have spent 4 to 5 times as much had I taken it to a dealer.
I chatted with Larry when I picked up my car. I can’t believe all his business is word of mouth. He does not advertise. He doesn’t need to. All his customers know he is the most trust worthy mechanic in So Cal. Maybe the World…

I’ve gone to Larry for years and years, he is the single most honest person I know. Very sweet guy, very patient («My car is making a ca-​chunk ca-​chunk noise»). If he knows someone who can do a better job locally he will absolutely be straight up with you and send you their way or tell you what’s going on. Very communicative and awesome. I wouldn’t trust my car to anyone else.

WOW they are really honest people. Initially I needed a diagnostic and once that was done the mechanic referred me to scotty’s muffler on basline for a plugged up catalyic converter (really pricey) try sanchez muffler in fontana. They were abundantly nice and the reception area was refreshing with tv. The outside is a bit scary at first but the waiting area made up for it. I mean they could use a slight sprucing up-​but then again guys dont really care about that stuff. Come on guys catch up with the women and children.
All in all I will return in future for other repairs! Very excited to finally feel at peace with an auto shop! Thx guys and god bless.

A friend of mine, who works in an auto parts store, recommended this place to me based on the positive things he’d heard from his customers. I brought my car in knowing nothing about what was wrong with it, and the guys at the shop were very honest and looked for the simplest (and cheapest) explanation first. It turned out to be a minor fix and I was in and out of there in no time. They didn’t try to do any unnecessary repairs and the owner even gave me advice on how to avoid the problem in the future. It was a remarkably painless experience and I was very satisfied with the service.
