Tino’s Seafood is an amazing seafood restaurant that prides itself on providing high quality seafood at a reasonable price. We’re fast, fresh and friendly. The jumbo shrimp is an amazing size and is straight from our own boats. This is the first of it’s kind in San Antonio and is unmatched.

Tino’s is originally from Brownsville, TX and has since expanded to locations in Brownsville, South Padre Island, and now San Antonio, TX.

Stop on by and join us! We have plenty of fried and non-​fried food. From our fried jumbo shrimp specialty, to our Shrimp Salad, Ceviche, Caldo de Mariscos, Peel and Eat Shrimp, to our fried oysters.

We have homemade cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and a secret habanero salsa recipe that’ll make you cry.

History

Established in 2010.

The San Antonio Location was established in 2010, however Tino’s Seafood Restaurant has been in existence for over a year down in the Valley of Texas. The Franchise owners are a family owned business that posses over 30 years experience in the Seafood industry. Straight from the boats to our tables so that our food is as fresh as possible for our customers. We pride ourselves on being a franchise that always makes you feel like you’re truly familia just like the owners of each restaurant – family owned, operated and inspired for over 30 years.

This has become one of those places we hit for lunch at least once a week with the work crew. It is fast and cheap with seating for groups up to 8. If your eating «unhealthy» go for the fried shrimp, fish and fries basket. It is some of the very best in town. If you want a healthier option go with the Vuelve a la Vida pint for $ 6.99. It is amazingly good, especially when you squirt some of the habenaro table sauce into it. The management and employees are friendly and helpful. This is a small chain based out of Brownsville. All the seafood comes fresh from the Gulf on Tino’s own fleet of boats. Drive past Sea Island and check out this great local eatery.

I was a little underwhelmed by Tino’s. The service was fine (food was a little slow to come out, but I was there at an odd time of day — 4pm — and since they fry everything fresh, I didn’t mind). But I thought the food was just so-​so.
Everything was fried to a perfect crispness and wasn’t greasy, but I felt that it was overbreaded and that the breading didn’t have much in the way of flavor. I might try it again and get ceviche or something else unbreaded, but I didn’t care for the fried fish or shrimp, which is kind of their main thing. Though other people seem to think their fried seafood is the bomb, so your mileage may vary.

One of the big things I crave when I’m pregnant is seafood. After seeing it was people’s choice for favorite seafood in SA Magazine I badgered my husband into taking me for dinner.
I’m sure some people would be put off by the «whole in the wall» atmosphere but to us Chef’s that’s just a sign your in for a treat. When we arrived at 5 it was dead, but I chalked that up to we were there before everyone was off of work, and within minutes the place was packed.
I got the jumbo shrimp basket and a fish taco and the hubs got a mixed basket… all together I don’t think we even hit $ 20 so I was already impressed with the price for the food.
When it arrived I think I stopped once to breath it was just that good. Perfectly crunchy without the coating of grease you would expect from such a loud bite, and tons of flavor. By far the best fried seafood I’ve had in a long time.
The only draw back for me was the slaw… it was sad slaw :(While it had the crunch and creamyness I love it just didn’t have alot of flavor.
We loved this place so much we went back today (2 days later) for some more. I definately would suggest this place if your craving fried fish.

This place is a new hole in the wall seafood joint via Brownsville and South Padre Island. They know good simple seafood down there and they brought it up to share with San Antonio. I had the fish Taco special 3 tacos, fries and a coke for $ 5.99. These are not you usual fish tacos they consist of lettuce, tomato, sauce and 1 big piece of fried fish. The fish is the same fried fish you can order as fish basket. It is perfectly fried but heavy on the breading. I will be back to sample more of there seafood fair!

First, let me start off by saying that i am not a big seafood person-i’m slowly easing into it. The Dude was concerned b/​c he knows this (sweet, right? i know-he’s the bestest), but i reassured him that usually these places have a chicken sandwich or some sort of alternative… HaHa they totally didn’t!
I wound up ordering the fish burger, fries and a drink-​$ 5.99 and it was great! i was surprised to find that i not only did i tolerate this meal, but was really diggin’ it and i didn’t even have to add/​take away anything.
The Dude had the fish tacos (3), fries and a drink-​$ 5.99. The tacos are small, but they give you three with a mountain of fries. This was enough for The Dude (who happens to have a large appetite to fit his large build). The sauces they offer are quite tasty-​i thoroughly enjoyed the homemade tartar sauce.
P. S. It’s in a little strip right next to Pizza Hut, but blink and you’ll miss it!
