Sunset Station

I recently came here for a wedding reception and I have also been here for the UTSA Alumni Association tailgate party and I have to say I am very impressed. I love the preservation of the building. As soon as you enter the view is breathtaking especially with the staircase. I felt like Selena in the scene where they filmed the fashion show. It is a two story facility with stairs and elevators. Bar had a great selection of drinks and the even tasted great. Dance floor was able to accommodate everyone. We had a blast.

This is a beautiful architectural gem on the east side of downtown!
It used to be an old train station, built in the 1800’s, when they’d put extra care in building something beautiful for the city. Now it’s been converted into a gathering hall, with a giant stained glass window at one end.
This is a perfect place to host a party or a wedding or something!
The facilities are magnificent! They are impeccably clean, with easy access, and parking right across the street.
Sunset Station also includes an outdoor concert venue, and several bars and restaurants.
The staff here is always very polite and helpful.
If you’re in from out of town, this probably wouldn’t be the first place I’d visit, but if you’re a local, there’s always something going on around here!

This is a great space for a party or reception. There is ample space both up and downstairs with bar areas on both sides of the room. There is a covered outdoor area that makes serving food very easy… This place is somewhat pricey compared to other locations, has an amazing Historic charm. It is a old train station that has been nicely remodeled and restored. I am glad that SATX values old building like this.

This venue was really great. It’s very pretty inside. The staff was top notch. The table settings were very impressive. The total package made for a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend this venue for a company party, ir larger class reunion… reunion or wedding.

I came for a college party last night and when I heard it was downtown I was not thinking sunset station. I heard of sunset station when I moved to San Antonio a few years back. My sister would tell me about these crazy parties she went to here but I never saw it, I figured it was either shut down or some silly myth. The place is pretty nice for an outside venue. We were under the shed thing where the stage is and for some reason I thought we were at a concert lol. For a party… idk but for maybe like a BBQ or picnic it would be awesome. I really want to see the inside, the pictures look so nice.

Happy New Year! Celebrated New Years here and it was a blast! Great location downtown San Antonio. Very spacious. Was able to go out on patio to see fire works blasting over Alamodome! It has upstairs & downstairs. bathrooms located up & downstairs. Very clean and great to hold any event. Wait staff was polite & courteous. two bar areas!

This is an absolutely gorgeous venue!
The facilities here can host everything from an intimate dinner to a full-​on social-​event-​of-​the-​season– wedding. I’ve both attended and thrown events at Sunset Station, and every time been really impressed.
One thing I find most impressive is the quality of food for large-​scale events. How many times have you been to weddings catered by excellent restaurants where the food falls flat because making plates by the hundreds is hard work? That’s never been my experience here. And the level of service is also superb. These people are professionals.
I love most that this venue has so many different spaces. There’s even a small chapel on site for weddings. Everything you need all in one space, including easy access to hotels, should earn Sunset Station a definite spot on your list of places to check for your next event!

This place is amazing! It has a great history to it and has a lot of the original features when it was built by the railroad. It is helpful to know some of the history when visiting. It makes it so much more interesting. We did the walking tour of this area and it was well worth it. If you are looking for something unique, definitely check this out!

I attended a large reception here and was pleasantly surprised. From the outside, this venue looks old and rundown. We were in Depot Four, and the interiors were beautiful.
This is definitely a place with historic charm and rustic comfort. The food was fantastic and the service was welcoming. There were about 4,000 people present, and everyone was having a great time. Great hospitality.
I highly recommend Sunset Station if you are holding a large event in San Antonio. I heard they also have great concerts here.

They venue is GORGEOUS! Perfect for a wedding! The food was delicious, the service is top notch. Barbara the event coordinator is the best! We had our wedding there and I would do it all over again exactly the same. What a night! If you can, don’t go anywhere else for your special event!

I have attended many special events and award ceremonies at Sunset Station. The food is always fantastic and the service is top notch. It is difficult to serve food during a speaker and not be a distraction. The food runners where like ninjas. I didn’t see or hear them… my food just magically appeared. Now that takes talent.
They have a beautiful winding staircase that is perfect for any brides entrance. Everything from the ceilings to the floor is elegantly decorated for the perfect atmosphere.
