Description

Specialties

I am a seasoned groomer that operates in the comfort of your home. By grooming in your home I can provide less stress for your animal, and ensure that the grooming is not rushed. I groom dogs and cats; I also do nails on other species too. Each grooming session includes a bath and nail trim in addition to any type of styling desired. Grooming sessions are tailored to the comparability of each individual animal. By customizing the grooming sessions, the animal sustains the least amount of stress possible. After all, your pet deserves to be pampered as much as you do! I have more photos of my work on Facebook!

History

Established in 2008.

I started grooming in 1995, shortly after getting my first NDGAA certification in 2002 I went into the military. I continued to groom during my down time while I was serving our country. My initial thoughts when getting out was to be a truck driver as I love to drive too, but my father pulled me to the side and told me I should be grooming, not driving. That was in 2005, he was killed in 2007; so I started grooming full time and I have enjoyed it and in 2008 I started Soap-n-Suds. The first time starting out didn’t go very well and I had to find a job as a groomer. Now I have formed an LLC, have all the permits that are required and dusted off Soap-n-Suds for round two! I groom not only because it’s something I love to do, but also as a tribute to my father who saw what I couldn’t at the time.

Meet the Business Owner

Aeriana B.

Business Owner

Aeriana has over 20 years of pet grooming experience and is certified with the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA), studying to be a Master Groomer. She grooms both dogs and cats, and she also has experience with trimming nails on birds (as well as flight feathers), guinea pigs and iguanas. She enjoys the challenge of grooming difficult dogs and seems to have a «knack» for it. She prides herself on her work, and always says «I’m not ‘just’ a groomer, but also a trainer, an educator, and an integral part of the health care of your pet.» The thinking behind this is she needs to train the dogs how to behave on the table, she educates the owner on proper skin, coat and, nail maintenance. Additionally, as integral part of the healthcare of the pet she may notice something the owner missed and advise the need for veterinarian care. She is also involved with multiple local dog clubs and groups and she gives back to her community by giving presentations on pet care.
