Dont waste your time or money in this dirty joint! Place is dirty and the staff is slow and rude. Taco cabana has better tacos than this crappy place. There is nothing authentic about Los Roberto’s.

We ordered takeout one night at work. I got the chicken taquitos. Not the greatest I’ve ever had, and pretty dry. HOWEVER, they are open 24⁄7. My coworkers were happy with what they got, so maybe if I tried something else I would give it a better rating. I would be willing to try again!

This was a stomach turning experience, I am black and my Hispanic wife went here, for a late night meal. The server takes our orders, but only brings my wife’s plate back. I was assuming they were going to bring mines next when it was ready, to assure we both got a hot meal. To my surprise, they never brought my plate. As my wife gets close to done, I see her serving two Hispanic males there food who came in 5 minutes after us. Not once did she check to see how good the food was, or if I even got a plate. I will never eat here again chacho’s is better for about the same price and they aren’t racist. This is the 21st century, I will take my money elsewhere and you should also!

I forgot the name of this place. I was in town on business and found it on Unilocal tried and and I’m a HUGE fan. This place was so good. I compare all tacos to this shop at home and traveling. Nothing compares.

If you’re looking for that Westside type Mexican food… this is the best your gunna get in San Antonio! Their CAB(Carne Asada Burrito) is pretty close… but I would prefer the skinnier fries on the CAF(Carne Asada Fries)… they add more things than you would normally get in SoCal, so I usually just tell them guac, cheese, and sour cream only! Still better than nothing and beats Tex-Mex(yea I said it… LOL) in my opinion!

I am a huge fan. I moved to San Antonio in April 2015 and looked everywhere for a Mexican restaurant with good food that wasn’t Tex-Mex. I was unable to find a place until I stumbled upon Los Robertos…

Just like Cali! Nothing fancy here, just awesome food. If you’re from California and loved those 24 hr/365 day a year Mexican food restaurants, this is your spot.

Authentic California style Mexican food. I lived there for 13 years. So it’s pretty close!

The waitress took a bit to get back with us and was a little shy and had us keep repeating everything. We ordered chorizo tacos with bacon and mine ended up being drowned in grease. Although, the other three tacos that my friend had ordered ended up being great.(:

Is give them a 3.5 because I took the lazy route at the drive thru, probably would’ve gotten our food faster if we went inside. BUT… I did love the mini tacos de asada, pretty damn good, and they give you two sauce choices with your to go order, top that off with a big cup of cold horchata and I’m a happy camper once again. Despite the long wait in line.

I love the Los Robertos on my side of town, but I will admit, the service can be a little spotty there. This Los Robertos really impressed me! We arrived after work around midnight and were surprised to see that business was bustling! The young man at the counter was friendly, professional, and very busy! He was multi-tasking the front counter, drive through, and the dining room. And doing it very well. We placed our order and sat down. He brought us out chips and then soon our food. The crispy beef tacos are LIFECHANGING at Los Robertos. I cannot get enough! We were checked on several times by the young man while he was juggling his other tasks. We will definitely return soon! This is my favorite Los Robertos in the area, strictly due to the service that we received.

Every time the most simplest order if tacos or anything is always done quite well. The taste is great the services is usually very well and personable. Just an overall great experience every time. Great hole in the wall establishment.

We got lucky. As we were driving home(midland) from San Antonio we said at the next restaurant we’ll stop to eat. Roberto’s Taco shop was the next thing we saw and I am SO glad we stopped to eat here. The place was a cute typical Mexican joint. It was clean and festive. There salsa bar was clean! And had yummy salsa and grilled onions! I ordered 2 Barbacoa, and 2 carnitas tacos. I like the Barbacoa a lot.(Big tacos: I finished two only) My sisters ordered the crispy chicken tacos…(A little bit too crispy) and the chimichanga it was HUGE and delicious. My fiancé ordered 2 Barbacoa, 1 crispy fish, 1 carne Asada tacos and they were all pretty good, and my sisters boyfriend ordered a burrito and he enjoyed it. Anyway! All of that food + two horchata for about $ 50!!! Deals! Definitely a must go! I recommend this place, and will be back!

It’s very weird to have waiter service at a taco shop, and something I don’t quite get. It’s a taco shop, you order and then they call you and you get your tacos, right? That’s how it’s done in San Diego, taco mecca. Whatever they want to do, this place is the best you will find for Baja style Southern California Mexican fare. In this city where terrible Tex-Mex reigns supreme, there is a place where you can order tacos that are served on CORNTORTILLAS, not fluffy tacos, whatever the flip that is. We both ordered rolled tacos, one of our favorites. I do wish they had more variety with the rolled tacos, like potato and chorizo, but they only offered chicken and beef. Not sure I want to try the fish tacos, because nothing will live up to San Diego’s fish tacos, but I can dream. Cannot wait to try the chili rellano, a breakfast burrito, and the carne asada fries. Maybe I’ll just order the whole menu next time I go. The salsa bar is outstanding as well! Really liked the heat levels of the salsas available. I only wish there were more of these restaurants, like one down my street. I will just have to settle for a 15 – 20 minutes drive. Better than waiting months for when I go back home and binge eat tacos to get my fill I guess.

I’ve had better chicken enchiladas from Taco Cabana. What an orange cheese-laden nightmare. I was thankful they had red sauce instead of that dreadful chili goop Texans seem to think should go over enchiladas, as if they weren’t already high enough in fat content. But lawdy, the copious amounts of cheese! And they were in flour tortillas instead of their delicious corn! So disappointing. Extra star for this review is based on the fact that I’ve been satisfied with their CalMex fast food on other occasions. Chimichangas, mini tacos, and carne asada have been yummy. A bite of a buddy’s quesadilla was pretty scrumptious, too. The food is always fresh, and they ace their health inspections.

CAUTION… Buyer beware… Attention Health Department physical contaminants in food. We will never return to this establishment again. We ordered breakfast tacos through the drive thru. There were eggshells not a few, clusters of them in our tacos. After spitting them out, We threw them in the trash! It is completely unacceptable. It’s not like they rush to get your order to you, they take their time. We had waited 14 minutes from the time we paid to receive our order. Very disappointed.

There’s other food on the menu. .I *think* lol.. but the only thing you need to know is CALIFORNIABURRITO. Steak, potatoes, cheese, Pico, sour cream.. it’s *exactly* what I fell in love with in San Diego. Delicious! Not being next to a night club, as the 281/Bitters location is, the scenery/0dark30 entertainment value isn’t quite as high here. But they do have a huge tray of fantastic grilled onions & peppers on the salsa bar at this one. And 24⁄7 burritos. And stuff. Burrrrriiiitos!

It’s nothing fancy! Think Mexican street food. With the comfort of being able to eat indoors. The fish tacos are worth the try, the mini tacos are awesome and a hefty portion. It’s open 24hrs a day so that’s always a perk!

Late dinner after some laser tagging. Ordered the super nachos, piled high and layered with meat, beans, cheese, guac, and sour cream. Very tasty. and ratio of toppings to chips was good. Aside from nachos, we tried the barbacoa mini tacos, filled with tender marinated meat and garnished with cilantro and onions. I had to try the California is burrito which had meat, guac, cheese, and potatoes. Weird but tasty combo. They have a salsa bar that has various salsas, pickled carrots and jalapenos, along with sautéed onions. Tasty when eaten in the side along with the meal. Open 24 hours, can’t beat that!
