Established in 2012.

Dr. Nistar, a native of East Hartford, CT, received her MA and graduated with honors from Brandeis University. She then went on to graduate from the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. During her time at Columbia, she served as vice president of the local chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists.

After graduating from Columbia, Dr. Nistar served as a commissioned officer and dentist for four years in the United States Army at Fort Hood, TX. During that time, she serviced the soldiers by treating complex oral cases in conjunction with other dental specialists. She also served as the patient safety officer for all six dental clinics at Fort Hood and was involved in training and implementing a safer and more responsive healthcare system. She was honorably discharged and received two Army medals, one for dental treatment of soldiers redeploying from Iraq and one for her four years of commitment to the Army Dental Corps.

Dr. Nistar has a passion for dentistry and a compassion for those she treats. As a wife and mother of two children she understands how important oral health is to the whole family. She took over this practice from Dr. Greg Dahlberg to continue his tradition of excellence and personal care for all patients.
