Our Lady of the Lake University

I wish I could say nicer things, but this school does not seem to care about students and is more concerned with making money. Other private universities in the area offer reduced tuition for veterans, not OLLU. Other schools have no problem processing paperwork for students each semester, not OLLU. I’ve attempted to provide feedback to improve their dysfunctional system, but of course they don’t care. With the number of other local universities I would highly encourage going somewhere else. UIW, UTSA, St. Mary’s, or even Texas State in San Marcos. All of those schools mentioned offer both on-​campus and online degrees, everything OLLU has to offer at a better price with better student services (from what fellow veterans have told me). I enjoy the program and don’t have any major complaints there; really, that is the reason I am giving 2 instead of 1 star. It is a shame, because OLLU has the potential to be a great university.

This place is in need of a major overhaul. Leadership. Infrastructure. Technology. Everything in this institution is broken. I spent one expensive semester here before the disorganization of the place was more than I could stand. You can find a much better university experience for a better price. I did.

I went to OLLU one time. I applied for an online Master’s course. It was the best visit to a college I have ever been to.
I graduated with a MS in Non-​Profit Management. It was the most affordable degree out there and believe me, I researched!
Everyone should go to OLLU once. To sign up for graduate school on line. It will be the best bucks you will ever spend.

My review may be a little biased because I graduated from this university. While it is very expensive to attend the university, there are grants and scholarships available. The classes are small and the professors are great. The atmosphere is welcoming and their seems to be a great feel of community. There are always many events for students and the community going on. Rather you are going to attend the school or just visit, I recommend it all.
