Specialties

We’re an ice cream truck and we move around! Follow our schedule on facebook!

We specialize in hand-crafted syrups, pickled fruits, candied peppers and hand-crafted chamoy. You won’t find this anywhere else but Chamoy City Limits.

We grew up eating chamoy, mangondas, piccadillies and more. Now we are taking it to the next level.

History

Established in 2012.

San Antonio has a storied street food tradition. From the early 19th century until the latter years of World War II, the city’s legendary «chili queens» were an integral part of San Antonio plaza life. These self-reliant lady entrepreneurs, armed with local ingredients and old family recipes, set up tables and outdoor stalls in the city’s public squares, serving piping hot bowls of the spicy stew that would become the official state food — chili con carne. Today the modern day chili queens at The Institute of Chili are bringing that street food legacy into the 21st century and keeping San Antonio at the forefront of the mobile food movement.
