Love the cut! It was exactly what I wanted. Tamie is great and a pleasure to talk with. All around, I am so happy with my first appointment!

Tamie has done my hair twice now. The cut and color were done absolutely perfectly. She gave me exactly what I asked for. Her products are wonderful and do not bother my skin. She is also very friendly and fun to chat with while she works. I am very happy with my hair since I switched to her.

I went to Gypsy Dirt yesterday thinking turning my hair completely blonde would take the normal 3 – 4 appts like every other place I have gone to, but GUESS WHAT… It didn’t and that is why I love Gypsy Dirt and Tamie so much more! I was able to show Tamie a picture of what I wanted to achieve and it is pretty much spot on! I am in complete AWE of it and love it so much!!! Thanks again Tamie for your time and patience with me! I recently went in for an ombré hair color and I thought it was going to take a very long time, however it only took Tammie about and hour and a half. She did exactly what I wanted without having to use bleach in my hair which I loved. My hair is naturally very dark and to bleach it will just kill my hair. they dye that she uses smelt a lot better than typical dyes that have been used in my hair due to it being mostly plant based. She even had time to trim my hair, and when I say trim it literally was a trim not half of my hair cut off. She did everything exactly to what I wanted couldn’t be happier.

My crazy long hair took a few hours to dread, but the time passed amazingly fast with Tamie. She had no problem with my baby nursing during the process. I appreciate that she requires a consult before dreading hair to explain how it’s done & answer questions. I’m so thrilled with my hair that I can’t stop smiling! I have found my new hair stylist. Tamie thank you! I love that she uses hair products that are natural. If you are thinking of going to Toni and guy, DON’T make that mistake, I did that and paid way too much to leave upset and with bangs I had to pin up until they grew out from the awkward cut. I made my Unilocal account so more people could find Tamie and actually leave the hair salon feeling happy about their hair and feel pretty! By far, the best and happiest I have ever left a hair salon. Ahh so happy to have found you Tamie!!!

Never have I ever been to a salon where I was extremely satisfied with the outcome however, that all changed today! Tamie cut my hair EXACTLY how I wanted and looked exactly like the picture I brought in. If you want a haircut you will love, go to Tamie! Her input is also helpful.

Let it be known I did not get my hair done here, rather I am writing this as the husband who accompanied his wife for a long cut and color session.
I had every intention of dropping my wife off and making a run for it. I despise salon environments. The smell of cancer causing chemicals in the air, the mindless gossip of women with nothing interesting enough in their lives to speak about and the lack of comfortable seating for the significant others suckered into accompanying their partners to such places… what’s to like?
Gyspy Dirt was different. It was a small private one room studio inside of a nice building full of similarly set up studios. There was a comfortable chair for me, and I was offered coffee and/​or water. Tammie was a sweet girl with a personality that was enthrall one enough for me to not want to make a run for it.
Above all though, everything she uses is natural, organic and cruelty free. As a vegan I appreciate the concern for animal welfare. As a man who is sensitive to the smells normally associated with hair salons, I appreciated the fact there was no such foul odors and I am fairly certain I didn’t leave there anymore likely to get cancer than I was when I walked in.
My wife’s hair looked awesome, and the price and service was well worth the almost two hour drive from North Austin. I’ll let my wife review about her hair herself, I just wanted to add the rare «husband in waiting» point of view.

I am so happy I found Tamie. She was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable even though I was really nervous. I rarely get my hair done and my hair was getting way too long. She gave me a stunning hair cut that I could not be happier with and even sent my excess hair to locks of love for me. If you are looking for a new stylist or a vegan and cruelty free salon then look no further. Tamie is amazing!!!

Tammie is amazing. She listens and learns what you want. She is creative, fun and very talented! She can give you a professional, «all business» cut or pink dreads!

Fantastic salon! Best hair cut & color I’ve had in a very long time. It was so relaxing and the customer service was great, which is hard to find these days! You won’t regret getting your hair some here.
