Drury Inn & Suites

I made a mistake by posting a review on the first night. This place is relatively disgusting, and I’d advise you to stay elsewhere.
We got our rooms switched because of the fruit fly infestation, and ended up in a room with carpet so dirty it formed a «camouflage» pattern from the stains. There’s also a leaky hole in the bathroom ceiling. When we came in from our night out, there was food and garbage all over the hotel hallway floors. The laundry facilities were also pretty disgusting with little to no maintenance. The debris from other people’s garments was left in the washing machines, so we did not use them. Lastly, I keep finding long blonde hair on my towels. My hair is black…
When we were offered compensation for our bug infested room, we were offered a free night back here. Of course, we didn’t even want to finish our stay here, so we asked if we could use it for another location, but were told we have to call the corporate office to see if that could be done. I feel that it’s the hotels responsibility to do that, but with everything else here failing my standards, I am not surprised.

The main entrance is a little quirky it’s on the side facing the hotel next door (which is also a Drury). Anyway, the staff is what sets this Drury inn and suites above others I’ve stayed at. I like the access. I use the back entry because I always take my dog and it’s easy in and easy out. They have TVs in the dining rooms which is nice to catch up on weather, road and events as you grab a bite for complementary breakfast. Hot waffles, fruit, eggs, sausage, muffins, toast, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, cereal, juice bar and coffee (with half and half or milk choices) are set up in a serve yourself buffet.
Check is at 3:00pm (they are accommodating on 12:00 pm check out time) and there is help yourself fresh popcorn machine popping at 3:00 pm and it is available all evening. Complementary dinner is also served and the menu changes each evening. The food items are just okay, On Thursday they have chicken strips with Mac and every evening they have a soup, salad and baked potato you can make loaded. You can eat all you want AND each adult gets three free alcoholic beverages per evening. Yippee ! Although this is very close to my home … I just like to go here with my dog and spend a night with my feet propped up watching tv after a swim in the indoor pool. The beds are comfy and have a pillow assortment so you can pick what’s comfy for you. There’s a medical center close so if you’re a nip and tucker or are in town for treatment on the north side or just passing through … The Drury Inn … I feel like going there now.

Not my favorite hotel chain. They do give you free beer though… so if that’s your priority, this is your place. If you haven’t been to this location before, know it’s part of Drury Plaza… sounds great doesn’t it?
