Beldens feels like a small town garage that you can trust to be honest about your vehicle. I appreciated that they could evaluate my car and let me know what the priorities were for now and what I should be just keeping my eye on. For someone on a tight budget, that is very important to me. Peggy

I went to their Alamo garage location on Lockhill Selma to get my truck inspected & Will was awesome! I had questions about the new state inspection law & Will answered & explained it all.

We will not be going back to Beldens. I really feel they are your typical mechanics who will do whatever to make a buck. We took the truck in for an oil change and a diagnostics check. They told us what was wrong and would cost us around $ 1700 for parts and labor. My husband did some research and found the part at auto zone for $ 175.00. He replaced it in about an hour. Really? Unfortunately as soon as he fixed that, white smoke came out the back and he didn’t have the tools to fix it. We looked at going somewhere else to fix it but they were booked and we already had vacation planned for the weekend and needed the truck fixed asap. They ended up keeping the truck three days longer then they said (vacation plans had to be changed) and they charged massive $$ for the «parts needed». I arranged to get picked up so I could get the truck after it was fixed. They said they would be by to pick me up shortly. I guess shortly to them is an hour! I had to call them back to find out what was taking so long. He had «just called» my husbands number and left a message. It wasn’t going to do me any good since my husband was at work! Anyway, here comes the fun part. I get the invoice and see that they are charging me for another oil change and filter! After I complained about it, they did take it off. They also charge $ 18.00 for a bottle of antifreeze. I had a coupon for the $ 98.00 diagnostics that they did but they wouldn’t take my coupon because of the $ 75.00 discount I was given off for parts and $ 75.00 off for labor. He said «I did that to try to get you the best price.» Well thanks but what about honoring your coupon? And what would have happened if I hadn’t checked the invoice? Oh yea… charge me another $ 100.00 for something they didn’t do! Can you believe they charged me $ 15.00 to turn the truck on? «It makes for a better oil change!» Yea. they gave me the best deal! (Sarcasm inserted!) It’s sad that I felt so taken advantage of. So what’s worse, the lawyers, doctors, or mechanics? Wish I could find an honest family shop. I get needing to make a living but come on! Unilocalers… you have been informed.

Mike helped me drop off my vehicle for an oil change. You can make an appointment too if you need to bc they have a shuttle service. These guys are super nice. They are the trusted name in auto repair. They even do a radio show on the local station. This is their new location. Happy to have one close to my place.
