New to the Stone Oak area. Trying different nail salons. This is my 3rd one. It was«ok». It was busy, they did a decent job. But the owner there was pushing us to do shellac for my 13 year old daughter. Made us feel stupid when we just wanted regular nail polish/manicure for her. Told me I was wasting my money. I didn’t ask for a lecture, just asked for a manicure. Can you do it yes or no? Happy to get a suggestion. It was just done in a bit of a condescending way. Otherwise, the technician did a nice job and was very sweet with my daughter.

I won’t be coming back here. Everyone was very nice but I didn’t like the cleanliness or how my nails turned out. They aren’t meticulous at all. They left polish around my nails and the chevron didn’t look good at all. It was very warm the entire time. Additionally, they asked if I wanted something to drink and I asked for water and got none.

We moved here recently and have tried a few places before finding Danny a couple weeks ago at Alamo Nail and Spa. The shop is clean… staff friendly… prices reasonable and they seem ready to help in anyway to make sure the customer is satisfied. They didn’t even mind that I tagged along the first time to annoy her during her«me time» ! My wife says«Danny keeps her nails grown and sexy» I don’t know what that means but if your married you know one thing… happy wife happy life.

great experience. went to the other location on 281 and evans but wasn’t 100% satisfied so i tried this location. lots of parking in the lot so i was able to park right in front. went 3 pm on a wednesday and no one else was there. i went on a wednesday thinking they had a 15% off(based on another Unilocal review) but that wasn’t the case. i opted for a eyebrow wax($ 10), mani and pedi(with french polish $ 45). the prices were reasonable. while i was there 6 other peeps stopped in so they got really busy really fast. luckily i beat the rush. will be back.

As an a nail tech myself, for 20 years, Im very picky. I have been to numerous nail salons in San Antonio and was never happy. Since I found Danny at Alamo nails I have never been happier. He does my nails just the way I want them. Everyone there is very experienced. He and the rest of the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Very neat and clean! Always happy to see you too!

So I wanted to treat my wife, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law to some well deserved pedicures the other day. The location and reviews made the place a top choice for me. After their experience I would highly recommend that the employees here get evicted. My wife ran less than ten minutes late and was told, in a stern tone, that there was a later appointment she was holding up. «Big money» they said. So with no questions asked they rushed their services unto them. Not caring about preference or anything like that. My wife left with nothing on her nails even though we paid $ 45. These people were rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. If you want a quality Mani/pedi, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this atrocious place.

I loved my experience here! The ladies are the best at what they do and Danny was a very attentive manager(or owner, not sure which). They offered us wine and brownies and we felt so pampered. My daughter was sitting with my sister and even she got her nails painted. This will definitely be my go-to spa/nail spot.

I’m changing my review today… I would not go here again. It didn’t matter that I had an appointment and when I decided to go next door to grab a bite to eat, because he had two customers still waiting for him, Danny asked if I would get him a sandwich and he’d pay me back. I’ve only been here once before! I don’t even know him! This just wasn’t my kind of customer service… especially on Mother’s Day.

This is my go to nail salon. I drive from Thousand Oaks and Jones Maltsberger passing quite a few nail salons just to come here. They do a good job on both manis and pedis, the staff is very friendly, and if you ask they will serve you red, or white wine, and sometimes a margarita if their machine is filled.

First time trying this place and Danny did an excellent job! I had the pink and white done on my nails and they look beautiful! My daughter had her eyebrows wax and she loved it and that is rare because she is very picky on her eyebrows! We will definitely be going back! Excellent job(uncle) Danny! :) They have 15% off on Monday thru Wednesday.

First time trying this place and I think I finally found a good nail place! The place was clean and nice looking and the staff was polite and communicated well. My shellac manicure came out perfect.

I have been trying different places For a while. When I came In they were confident and professional. This is my second time and I am As happy with this one and the first one. I have done my nails with two different mail technicians and both of the work was great. I think that this is going to be my place to do my nails from now on.

Stopped in with my wife today so she could get her nails done. She didn’t have an appointment or anything so we sat and waited for a few minutes until employees finished with other customers. I’m by no means a regular to getting pedicures but instead of sitting around being bored while my wife got a manicure I decided to get a Spa Pedicure. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and equipment; as well as the friendliness of the employees. The Spa Pedicure was around $ 40 and nearly put me to sleep! Needless to say, I’ll probably come back in a few weeks! Haha!

So, I’d like to start off this review by saying I don’t frequent nail salons very often. But, I’m in San Antonio visiting family and my family is crazy, so I took my wife here to escape the insanity. When you walk in, it’s as if you’re walking into stucco heaven. You don’t get these types of places in DC. I’m later told this is nothing, but I was impressed. High ceilings, painted walls etc. It’s a big place. We both got mani-pedis(Forgive me if I don’t know all the terminology). They sit us down in these massage chairs and go to work. My wife had a great experience. They’re all about the upsell here and I dig that. She got these wax type treatments on her feet and hands. My nail lady answered her phone twice during the session. Kind of annoying, but I wasn’t going anywhere. Probably the reason they got 3 stars. She was wearing a pink velvet jump suit, which normally would bump her up to 4 stars, but the phone answering annoyed me. Look, we got there early, but the place was packed later on. They do a good job, but I felt the prices were high for San Antonio. Would I go back? Yeah, it’s fine. Am I going to be a raving fan about this place? Hold on, the phone is ringing.
