I brought in three custom suits to have the pants and jackets taken in considerably. I was incredibly impressed with how well she was able to make them fit perfectly. Well worth it and would recommend to anyone.

My husband had to have a suit altered for a funeral. The tailor went to great lengths to accommodate us; meeting us after hours and turning around the alterations within a couple of hours, so that we could head to Dallas in the morning. All this and quality too!
We won’t go anywhere else from now on!

Being 5ft tall and a whole 85 pounds, my clothes require A LOT of alterations. For years I was disappointed in the results unless I paid a fortune. I finally found Alamo Heights Tailor Shop and so long disappointment! Her work is amazing and at extremely reasonable prices. I have brought in pieces a size or two too big and a week later, the piece is suddenly made for my body. Not only is she good at making it fit the way you want, but she also offers great suggestions. Certain items she has suggested hemming at a certain length or taking in a little more than I originally thought necessary and the results are always perfect. I hate having an item that loses its original flare by looking too altered. She manages to do the same amount of alterations but in a way that the item looks as if it was made that way. I would definitely recommend her!

Being a young man who had ever had clothes altered before, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first visited the Alamo Heights Tailor Shop. I had quite a few dress shirts that fit me well, but were a little too baggy for my liking and I wanted to see if it was possible to alter them to a «slim» or «modern» fit. I went in on my lunch break and explained my requests, got fitted and received an estimated completion date all within about 30 minutes. The tailors finished work came out exactly as I had hoped and she even finished ahead of schedule. I will definitely be taking my dress shirts here from now on!

Thus far, I’ve dropped off 3 pairs of pants at this tailor shop. Two pairs of designer jeans I needed hemmed, and a pair of chinos I needed hemmed. All three garments came back perfect. For the jeans she asked if I would like to have the ends of the jeans stitched back on to make sure they had the same worn look as original, and showed me an example. I opted against it, but it was the attention to detail that really impressed me. On my chinos, she used the original string stitching from before she hemmed them. Meaning, she had to remove it stitch by stitch very carefully to make sure she didn’t break it halfway through. I didn’t ask her to do it, but she did, so that they looked right. When I came in this past time, she asked me how my jeans were that she hemmed, and I told her the dry cleaners around corner had pressed them with a crease down the middle after I had asked them not to. She actually told me to go get them out of my truck, and she would press the crease out.
I love this place, and I’ll never even consider taking my clothes anywhere else for tailoring. The customer service is fantastic, and your clothes come out perfect. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Someone refered me over here since my favorite sweater had a huge snag that caused a hole in the knit work. The other place I go to doesn’t specialize in what was needed so I thought I would give this shop a try. I was told the sweater would take two weeks to repair… no biggie it’s hot outside anyway. I came in three weeks later and was told it was still not finished and that she had taken it home. Ok, annoying, but I can swing by another day. Well, a week after that I show up and the knit work looks terrible. I could have attempted and had the same result. She almost laughed because she knew it looked bad, and said «Oh well I will only charge you $ 7.» So a month later, $ 7 shorter, and my sweater still looks like crap.

Drove by and saw this place. Decided to drop off some jeans and the lady did an amazing job. She was very friendly and she did it in about 30 minutes (measuring included) I’ll definitely come back if I need something done!

The woman was insensitive, unattentive, unprofessional and unwelcoming. I live one minute from this place, but will never set foot in her shop again. She had the nerve to laugh at the fact that I needed my dress taken out. Also she remarked that she wasn’t sure if she could do the job without ruining the dress… even though she was fully willing to accept my payment. At that, I took my dress away from her and walked out. She was more concerned with her television and texting on her phone than to give any shred of guest service. Rude. Go elsewhere for alterations… anywhere else!

Wonderwoman. The best tailor in town, and anyone who knows about such things knows her. She did some amazing stuff. And she’s a little bit of a character.

This woman does an excellent job. I brought in a wool pea coat that needed some tailoring in the shoulder and waist and she did a beautiful job. I would definitely go back.

The lady here does great work. I took my wedding dress in to get taken up, taken in, and a lining added. It took her 2 fittings, 3 weeks, and just $ 170 to do it all. For a wedding dress, that’s some cheap alterations. I’ve never taken anything else to her, but she had a lot of formal gowns and wedding dresses in there too, so it seems like lots of people trust her with expensive stuff.
