M & R Cleaners

Been going to M & R every week for 20 years. I have always been satisfied with their work. I’ve given them stained items and they’ve figured out how to get them clean. Regularly they are giving me something I’ve left in a pocket. They are grea!

Kay, Richard, and Sue are very friendly and helpful whenever we drop off our dry cleaning and laundry at M & R cleaners. They also do a fabulous job of cleaning our clothing, and the order is always ready when promised. They will even replace buttons and do limited tailoring. I’m embarrassed to say that once I thought they had lost an item of clothing. They searched and searched again, and called me at home with an update. They asked me to please check my closets again. They were right. I had hung my freshly dry cleaned item in my son’s closet, with his clothes, instead of my own. When I called back to apologize, they were very understanding, and laughed about it, though I felt like a dope.

I can’t believe I’m only the 2^nd person to review this dry cleaner. They are amazing. I’ve been using them for 5 months now and they are the best I’ve ever had. By far. I, too, have clothes that I care very deeply about. Not vintage, but expensive items. They have handled them very well. There are no ugly press marks, no stinky dry cleaning odors, and my dark colors have all stayed looking great. They are courteous and helpful. And they do all their cleaning on-​site so no chance of a missing item. Very convenient in-​and-​out location as well. Highly recommend.

This is quite simply the best cleaner I have found in Marin County. I own a large collection of vintage designer items that I have collected over the years from various places, including thrift and consignment stores and this is the *only* place I would trust to clean them. They put up with my pickiness, and have won my loyalty for ever and ever. I drive to San Anselmo from Corte Madera to have my husband’s shirts and my items cleaned.
My experience over the last four years is this: They do not break buttons. They do not ‘set’ stains. They do not write your last name all over shirts with ink pen. They do not shrink items. They do not remove color along with stained areas. *They do not lose clothing* or try to give you someone else’s stuff.
Decent alterations too, for minor things. I’ve never had anything more complicated than a simple hem/​button change done here.
