Aussie Pet Mobile

This was my first experience using mobile grooming and I’m ecstatic with the results. My dog is very senior, lots of mobility issues, and I’m reluctant to drag her out of the house due to her arthritis aches. I’ve never seen her come back from a groom so calm. She acted like the experience was just an ordinary walk outside. Kelsi took on my mess of a dog with great results and I appreciate the advice given regarding her paw pads. I highly recommend! :)

I own a long hair miniature dachshund who has had paralysis in her hind legs for the past five years and it has been difficult finding a groomer who was able to assist us in her needs. With three children under five and a paralyzed dog, let’s just say it’s very difficult for me to find time to bring everyone out the door on my own to really look around.
A year ago I tried contacting this company via online a few times and never got a response so I gave up thinking they didn’t want my business. Well, an email popped up and Aussie Pet Mobile was giving $ 15 off for new members. This time I decided to call and see if they truly would contact me back within 24 hours like their voice message said. Well, to my surprise, Leon did call me back. He heard about my dog’s paralysis and said the best person for my dog would be Tara. She was only available a week and a half out but I was fine with the wait. My dog has waited two years for a true professional groomer, what’s a week and a half more?
Tara called us earlier that she was running late and was 15 minutes late and appreciated the heads up prior to the appointment. She came and took my dog to her van to trim her all over, cut the hair around her paws, legs and especially her back legs short since my dog drags her hind legs everywhere — her fur collects everything! She was clean and she smelled great. My feisty dachshund came back clean and beautiful and she also loves Tara. The hardest part for Tara was getting her nails cut in the front paws because my dog has true upper body strength that will amaze most people. She will fight tooth and nail to never have them cut. She tried and am glad she told us truthfully that she didn’t get them cut as short for the concern of hurting her. I have been through this myself and know it takes me a half hour to an hour to cut her nails myself. I will be calling back this time! Next time I know not to bother with their online site — it doesn’t work! Call instead and you’ll be more happy with their service.
I dock one star for their previous lack of email response because I think if a company doesn’t know if it’s not working/​how it does work then maybe it shouldn’t be included in the website. Otherwise it makes for mad potential customers. Also, the listed price on Unilocal is incorrect and needs to be updated. My dog’s grooming cost $ 75 with the $ 15 off new customer discount. It is quite steep to pay $ 90 but maybe that’s the going rate for convenience on a small 10 lb dog?

I used Aussie Pet for several years, until my Australian Shepherd passed away. The convenience is wonderful — they just show up with the truck, and groom. My boy was quite old and had arthritis issues, and the groomers were very gentle with him and did a good job, in spite of his limited mobility. We had a couple of disconnects over the time I used them — once a truck broke down, forcing them to reschedule, and I think once an appointment got lost. But Leon was always quick to return phone calls and make things right. I will use them again when we have another dog in the house.

I’m just wondering what the response time is in contacting a person when an appt has been requested online? This is the second time I have filled out the page and it’s been 4 days since this last time. I never heard anything the first time and thought I would try again.

Yesterday I had my first experience with Aussie Pet Mobile, and it was wonderful! Cara arrived early for the appointment and took charge of my two dogs. She was very friendly, and my dogs loved her. This was the first time my dogs have been professionally groomed, and I was impressed with how beautiful they looked afterwards! I plan to call the Aussie Mobile groomers more frequently now that I know they will take good care of my furry kids!

Apologies for not doing this sooner– I bumped my rating up as I was contacted directly and apologetically for my experience. So 3 stars just for that personal outreach. I have not needed grooming services soccer then, but when I do I will give them another shot and hopefully be able to up my rating even more.

I have no problem with the groomers, but the owner is a bit heartless and uncaring. My older dog had a skin tag that the groomer accidentally cut off while brushing our dog and when I called him and sent him a picture of my bleeding dog, he was only interested in getting paid and didn’t care about my dog.
I had to take my dog to the Vet and spent $ 100 to get the bleeding to stop. His only interest was in getting paid and that my check would clear and that I would not put a stop payment on the check. I would recommend looking for another mobile groomer and I am sure for what they charge there are other more «caring» mobile groomers.

Amanda came out this evening and I am so impressed. She will be my first & only groomer for my 7 month old Maltese mix Norman. We both loved her & she did a marvelous job. I was also so impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. Would recommend her in a heartbeat. Five stars is simply not enough!

Opal is AMAZING!!! She has groomed my tabby Lavinia twice and she has another appointment this weekend. Everytime Opal has been on time, friendly and my cat looks amazing. Though Lavinia baths herself after getting her grooming but what can you do?
It is a little expensive so I go about every 6 to 8 weeks between groomings but the work is amazing and since I hate/​am scared to clip my cats claws it’s all taken care of.

Love them! Sheryn did a great job on my Mini Schnauzer. Some other services Ive tried take anywhere between 3 – 4 hrs, Sheryn was done in 1 hr. My pet looked the best she ever has, Sheryn is very professional and you can tell she knows what she is doing.

Sheryn was out today to shave my Ragdoll cat that was very matted. He has been becoming more and more difficult to handle when it comes to grooming the older he gets. He had part of his tail amputated several years ago in an accident and is extremely sensitive to anyone touching his back end. Sheryn was AMAZING! She was knowledgeable, professional, and very gentle with my giant baby. He came in with a nicely shaved lion cut and had a kitty massage from Sheryn.
Sheryn arrived early and was ready to go. She took the time to go over what we wanted done and how she was going to handle him. First time ever I didn’t have to be in a truck or business holding him down and having someone being rough with him.
I was very nervous for my cat to be somewhere without me helping, but she said he did wonderful and he is so very happy to be mostly hairless in 90 — 100 degree weather this week.
I will most DEFINITELY hand out her business cards and recommend her and Aussie Pet Mobile to everyone I know. I’m so happy to have found someone gentle and reasonably priced so I no longer have to take him to the vet and have him put out to shave.

I had to write this review immediately after having my dog groomed because I am THAT impressed with the experience we just had with Aussie Pet Mobile! So happy to have found them I could cry. They deserve to be a 5 star business on Unilocal.If you’re reading these trying to decide on a mobile pet grooming service just take out the review ranting about not getting a call back because that was clearly a one time issue that has been addressed and really is not a relevant reflection on the most important aspect of what you’re looking for as a pet owner, incredible gentle loving patient care for your furry family member. And let me tell you if THAT’s whats important to you and thats why you’re reading these reviews then you can absolutely feel comfortable about choosing Aussie. Let me explain my doggy situation to give you an idea of what I was looking for. I have an 11 year old german shepherd-​malamute mix who is about 110 lbs with absolutely terrible hips. He cant get around like he use to and sometimes its a struggle for him to stand and definitely to stand for extended periods of time. He can get into the car ok but is terrified to get out because of his hips, so taking him to the groomers quit being an option a couple years ago. We did what we could to take care of him but it was no substitution for a real grooming. Bathing him with ice cold hose water? Not awesome and getting him in the tub? Not an option. But he is an awesome doggy who is very very very loved and deserves to be completely and totally taken care of and spoiled in his remaining time with us. So all of that being said, I set out to find a small grooming shop close to home when I discovered mobile grooming was an option. I found Aussie, read the Unilocal reviews and gave em a call. Spoke with Leon who took the time to explain mobile pet grooming to me and answer all my questions. Most importantly and this was huge for me, he asked me to tell him about Guinness and he actually listened and understood. Before hanging up I wanted to emphasize the most important part of this whole experience for me was that the groomer he sent be kind, be gentle and be patient. I explained once again that Guinness was old and not always able to move well and it was absolutely neccessary for a groomer who would understand that and treat him the way he deserved. Leon told me about the groomer he had in mind and assured me she was very patient and actually great with geriatric dogs! Guinness the geriatric dog! hahaaa A new title for him :) Opal arrived today and I think her and Guinness were a match made in dog groomers heaven. She was sweet and made sure to explain everything to us and advised us since it had been so long since his last professional grooming it would take close to 2 hours to complete. We assured her as long as he was clean, hair cut and happy we were ok with the time needed. About 10 minutes in, Opal was at our door and I panicked thinking the worst (Guinness had been hurt) but the first thing she did was smile and say Guinness is fine he’s just sitting in the tub and I could come see him if I wanted then proceeded to tell us his coat was more matted all the way around then she thought at first so wanted to check with us before cutting him more. Well, shoot! I couldnt believe the level of care and communication that Opal displayed. We assured her the look of the cut was the least important part of this whole thing. We understood he was a hot mess and was not winning a doggy beauty contest at this point in the game. She smiled and said she just didnt want us to be surprised and wanted to make sure we were ok with it. Back to work she went and we didnt see her for another hour and a half or more. Doorbell rings and Opal and Guinness are there both smiling! Ok Opal was smiling for sure and if you have dogs you know Guinness was smiling too! As we stood in the door being filled in on how Guinness’ first day at the dog spa went what do we see? Guinness heading back to the grooming van and trying to get back in! Yeah you read that right… He was trying to get back in the van!!! That my friends says it all. Done deal. Opal is the geriatric dog whisperer. hahaaa Absolutely left us all smiling and complete believers in the mobile grooming experience. If you’re like I was, looking for someone to groom your pet with all the care and gentle loving care you would give then run dont walk to your phone and call Aussie. Ask for Opal and then just try to contain your excitement until appointment day!

I called Aussie Pet Mobile based on the Unilocal reviews. Granted that this place is not getting the best but I trust my fellow Elite Unilocalers for what they said. So thanks Gene D, I liked what you had to say and definitely trust what your experience was with Sharon.
I called them on Monday and spoke to Leon– oh boy, I have had a kitty for almost 2 years now but still feel like a cat noob! I just want to shave her down to prevent her furball problems! What was funny is that when he asked me what my cat’s fur condition was, I said «it’s soft» he and I laughed because I had no idea what my cat’s condition is… He sent out Sharon who is the supposed cat whisperer and my poor kitty was just not having it! But Sharon was very kind to our kitty and she is great. Can’t go wrong there but my kitty is just high stressed! Her suggestions were kind and very helpful.
We will definitely use this service again and ASK FOR SHARON! She’s very sweet and a true cat whisperer!

Very impressive work. My other resource for cat grooming has been too busy, and I just happened to receive a promotion in the mail from Aussie.
The follow up with appointment went beyond my expectations. The groomer, Sharon, is a true «cat person» and had many good suggestions for the care of my family here, which I had not heard before.
We’re on a grooming schedule now. The cat will understand. #OrNot
