The Puck Restaurant & Sports Bar

I have tried to like this place several times but I just cannot. Let me save you some precious time and tell you the drinks and food are not worth the time you will wait to get them. First, we waited 30 minutes to even be recognized by any one in this place. It was not even that busy. After finally making contact with a server, we placed our food and drink orders at the same time in hopes of not waiting even longer. 20 minutes later our server returned to let us know that she had forgotten what we ordered and asked again, promising she would bring or drinks out right away. 15 minutes later… Nothing. This time we ended up leaving before anything ever even made it to our table. The few other times we’ve been here the service has been the same except we actually ended up getting our food before any drinks at all. No bacon burger is worth this much time. Don’t even bother.

Waited an hour and forty minutes to get our food after ordering there was no wait to get in. Waited 30 minutes about just to get drinks. They were busy when we first got there but as the place cleared for the hockey game we still waited for 30 or so minutes with only 3 other tables booked. The waitresses weren’t helping each other and maybe there was only one guy working the kitchen (who knows) They need to up their staff prior to hockey games or let patrons know ahead of time it will be a long wait. Missed the first half of the hockey game due to the slowest service ever no excuses or apologies. I did think the food was good but definitely not worth that wait.

After we arrived we waited 10 minutes for a waitress that we had to ask if she could please take our order. After we ordered we waited a minimum of an hour when the waitress told us it would be at least another 10 minutes. This is a sports bar not some high end bistro. Will not go back.

Food is meh, service was nonexistent if you’re up stairs on a Monday. Unless you were one of those drunk white old men who acted half their age. They need a rebranding for the most part. Nice big place with high ceilings but a «hockey bar»? Is this Minnesota? The Puck, «a bar». Sounds awful. Heard they have a good burger called the juicy Lucy Though it’s not on the menu

The wifi doesn’t work, our waitress is rude (currently here as I type)
Bouncer/​Security is the loudest person in here, yelling at the TV during football games.

Ugh. I had such high hopes because I had heard great things. This place is nothing more than mediocre at best. Crap bar food is crap bar food, but this was literally crap bar food. Over fried and soggy are the only things I can think of to explain it.
To top it all off the place was dead and the service sucked. The girl helping us barely checked on us and after she brought the check she took 25 minutes to come back and get the card. She just stood up at the bar talking to the douche bartender. The only reason I’m giving this place one star is because it has a comfortable atmosphere and they have tons of televisions.

Not even a star. The Puck… not if it’s the Stanley Cup playoffs. A long haired little man door guy, this jerk who called me an A$$ and kicked chairs when asked the for Rangers, Bolts game. Bill the manager said «He’s a hothead»! I wanted to meet hockey fans. Not watch the N.B.A. They will pitch a fit if you for ask politely to change the channel to playoffs for the oldest sports trophy in the world!
I got sworn at and watched this guy be a fool.
Bill and «hothead» need to be fired.
Pathetic. Just sad, please change the name. You’re deceiving would be customers.

This review is a long time coming. I’ve been coming here with my husband for years and he was visiting long before I knew him.
The service here is usually AWFUL. I don’t care about the grouchy door guy, he never bothered me, but the wait staff is usually a mixture of slutty looking chicks and weird white trash. There’s two that I like and one is Shana I think her name is? She’s kinda tall, dark hair. Anyways the other is a chick with very very long hair.
I try to sit in their sections if I can otherwise we risk being flat out ignored. Which is whatever because the burgers are NORMALLY out of this world good and the fries bomb.
This last time we went a few weeks ago something about the burgers had changed. We couldn’t put a finger on it but they just weren’t as good as we have come to expect. And the fries were totally different! I had gone out in a limb and gotten onion rings which turned out to be the best I’ve ever had. Seriously delicious.
Anyways, I hope that the not-​as-​good-​as-​normal burgers were an isolated incident and next time will be back to their original deliciousness. I will be ordering onion rings from now on!

Went for lunch, ordered a Juicy Lucy burger with swiss. Service was very slow, menus took awhile to get to us, drinks were filled slowly and it took a very long time for the food to come out.
I ordered tots with the burger, they were OK, a bit crisp but the tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The burger was good size, two ¼ pounders with cheese melted in the middle on a pretty good bun. The burger tasted OK.
The real surprise was the aftermath, once we finally made it back to the office over an1.5 hours later neither me nor my co-​worker felt well, that lasted most of the evening. Probably will not make it back to the Puck any time soon.

After calling around to several bars in the area looking for a place to watch the UFC fights, we finally found out that the Puck still had some tables available and their cover charge was just $ 2, so it was a no brainer that we head there. The bouncers were friendly, and our waitress was great. She stopped by our table frequently to give us refills and to see if we were doing alright. I really appreciated that, especially since it was a really busy night and usually you don’t get that stellar of service at sports bars.
For food, there’s a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and pizzas to choose from. I went with the Monte Cristo which was a deep fried ham and cheese sandwich topped with powdered sugar, a side of raspberry preserves and french fries. It sounded kind of odd, but I wanted to try something different and I ended up liking it. The powdered sugar was very subtle and it just tasted more like a grilled cheese. I never had any problems with any of the drinks that were ordered, and I noticed that they have a lot of great deals on cocktails! I’d definitely return.

Definitely a fun sports bar. The drink prices aren’t too steep and the service is generally good. I do really, really like their Southwestern Eggrolls. I’ve been told they have a few pool tables upstairs, but I’ve honestly never gone upstairs, I’ll definitely be back soon to check it out.
