Dolcetti Avenues

I was on my way to Ensign Peak to catch the sunset and stopped in here for a coffee and something to munch on. The orange cranberry scone was alright, nothing too exciting. The friendly man behind the counter made me a tasteful Latte and I really enjoyed it. It’s a cute little café at the corner and the Gelato looked really good too. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

This cute little local place is tucked beautifully into the Avenues on 4^th and E. A perfect walk away from my house.
The friendly staff is sure to suggest a specialty treat for you, if you’d like. She hooked me up with the best hot chocolate I have ever had. A specialty hot chocolate for just $ 2 gets you a Lavendar Honey Hot White Chocolate. This isn’t your average hot chocolate made with powder. Oh no! This is a homemade hot chocolate, made with steamed milk and topped beautifully with honey, making it look like a latte. It’s great for the kids. or adults who love hot chocolate on steroids! :)
Dolcetti also makes homemade gelato. I’ll be back to try each flavor!

This place is where it’s at when you’ve got an itch for something sweet. The Belgian waffles are simply fantastic. I had the gelato and green tea on my last visit and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. Luckily this isn’t far from home so I can walk off some of my calories before enjoying another awesome Belgian waffle at Dolcetti ;). Great locally owned business; give it a shot!

Extremely good customer service and delicious gelatos & other treats.
I live a half a block away from this place and so it’s very convenient for an after meal dessert or snack. The gelato flavors are very diverse and will satisfy even the pickiest foodie. The atmosphere is very relax and cozy. The décor is modern/​contemporary. I especially like the 3D sculpture display of takeout lids.
On my recent visit on Friday, 4÷19÷13, I’ve got the sticky rice coconut gelato, green tea, and a belgian waffle. Received the green tea and gelato at the counter and the woman at the counter said to take a seat and she will bring out the waffle. I took a seat and the woman came out and told me that they ran out of sugar crystals and that she will make the waffle without it and won’t charge me for it. This is the epitome of great customer service… if a problem arises they make sure the customer is satisfied.

Wayyyyy better than the 9^th & 9^th location: Everyone who works here is really friendly (no «hipster service»), they’re open on the weekends (Sundays too!) and it’s more of a chill study place. Turns out the Avenues Dolcetti’s has a different owner (franchised out), and he’s really nice too (owners of 9^th & 9^th drip with pretentiousness). Four stars instead of five because they’ve had freezer issues lately. Last time our gelato was freezer burned, tonight it was a bit melted. But still yummy!

I was debating between four or five stars… but this place is just too cute and the gelato too good for me to not give them a five. Nice cozy location in the aves — great for locals but seems a little inconvenient if you don’t live in the avenues. Interior is very open, lots of seating, and dog friendly! I was super excited that my little pup didn’t have to wait for us in the 7 degree weather while we enjoyed our gelato.
I’ve never tried their drinks but the man friend says they are decent. Not the best, but he goes almost every day because it’s convenient, close, and the staff is nice. The gelato is delicious! They always have amazing, unique flavors like honey lavender and coconut sticky rice. And for those who don’t do dairy, they have great sorbettos as well. I always get the small — it looks super tiny but usually I can’t finish the whole thing… and trust me, i have an appetite, especially for sweets!

Gelato in waffle cones — delish! The owner was working the night we went and was helpful and passionate about his business. Service and food were great. I’m looking forward to going back to sample the waffles and affogato.

I must say, I’m usually not a fan of expensive Italian anything.
But this place made feel like screaming and shouting for joy not only because the gelato is actualy Delish, but because the service we received was OFF DA HOOK MY GUIDOS AND GUIDETTES.
Holy hell, what a nice kid the one that helped us. He not only gave us tons of samples, but told us the story of the place, how the gelato is made, HE EVEN GAVE US A TOUR OF WHERE THEY MAKE THAT ISH!
It was so legit. He kept us entertained, he seemed like he was enjoying his lil gig, and we left the place with a lil freebie for being nice customers. Mamma Mia!
How could I not want to try out for Jersey Shore now?
this place made me want to convert to all Italian-​ish things.

Great staff. Amazing gelato. Charming location.

Located in the former Hatch Chocolates, Dolcetti Gelato uses the space much better than Hatches did when they were there. There are quite a few places to sit and the decoration is lovely.
My friend and I went on a Tuesday evening and we were the only people there. This was good because there was only one young man working. He was excellent. He helped us with all the samples we asked for and explained about the flavors.
All the flavors we tried were excellent! I got the apricot sorbetto and it was amazing. Apparently it is made from the owners apricot trees! I mixed it with a berry sorbetto which I regret because the berry was just so so. It tasted like the Costco smoothie at the food court. My friend got the Mint and the coconut sticky rice. Both were good but the mint was excellent!
If you go get the large– $ 5 because the smaller sizes are almost as expensive. They also have a small variety of cookies and the like. None of these looked appealing to me. There was a sample of a brownie and it was not good– so go for the gelato. They do have Belgian waffles and I can’t comment on those.
I gave this place four stars because their selection of gelato and parking is limited. Although there a places to park around the neighborhood and you will find a delicious gelato, even if there are only 10 or so choices.

Dolcetti is located in the building formerly occupied by Hatch Family Chocolates. Big shoes to fill for sweets, right? Well, Dolcetti succeeds with its sweet gelato goodness. I had a pretty tough time deciding between the dozen or so gelato flavors on offer, includling chai tea, watermelon, pear, pistachio, and ginger. Thank goodness they let you sample before selecting! I opted for the ginger and was not disappointed. The flavor was strong but not overpowering. I will surely be back for more!

Was very glad to have them open their second location in the Aves. It’s a great place! Staff is friendly, fantastic environment, and the goodies are amazing! My boyfriend and I have been twice, and plan to return. often!
