We are the ONLY girls’ makeover shop in Monterey County. We offer party packages with several unique themes to choose from. S&SS is a must before the school dance, for the perfect ballet recital bun or to get real feather extensions for a fun new look.

We offer gentle, hygienic ear piercing with a free makeover included to make the occasion extra special.

Open Tuesday — Saturday & on Sunday by appointment, weekday walk-​ins are welcome.

We also carry a full line of gifts including the newest Beanie Boos, girls’ jewelry, tutus, games and unique finds and will pack them in a gift bag with our signature pink tissue for a one-​stop gift on your way to a party. We’re also home to Salinas’ only Pucker Powder machine featuring 12 funtastic flavors.

Bring her to the shop for the best birthday party ever, or to celebrate passing a test, losing her first tooth, scoring a soccer goal or just as a rainy afternoon pick-​me-​up.

History

Established in 2014.

Sugar & Spice Studios came to be for three reasons:

First, it’s always a challenge to find new ways to celebrate children’s birthdays and who wants to clean up the mess afterward? Some of our girls’ favorite memories are of their appointments in Downtown Disney getting ‘just-​their-​style’ makeovers. For years we thought it would be so great to have something like that in our area… different and special.

Also, it seems as though we have a birthday party to attend every weekend and it gets tough finding the right gift week after week. Who hasn’t had to run out at the last minute to find a gift and cute wrapping because you didn’t have time to get something during the week? Then you wind up arriving late and the kids are bummed and you’re stressed…

And third, we knew we wanted to work around kids because kids are just plain fun.

So when we found the perfect spot in the Toro Park Shopping Center and the chance to partner with Vintage Vixxens we decided we had to make it happen.
