Scott Sturvist Properties

We hired Scott Sturvist because we were seeking an expert realtor in the unique region we were selling our home, the San Benancio area of Salinas. I had personally bought and sold four (4) homes before this transaction, so I have some experience as a seller. All of my experiences in the past with other realtors were positive. I serve as their reference as a satisfied customer.
Regrettably, Mr. Sturvist’s style of real estate client services was concerning. For example, when the buyers’ offer was made he sent the agreement electronically to sign without reviewing the terms of the offer in detail with us. Mr. Sturvist’s lack of communication regarding the content of agreements and disclosures to sign continued for most of escrow. During escrow he made a unilateral decision that was in contradiction to my previously expressed request. During the final few weeks of escrow Mr. Sturivst began to communicate and I recognized him for that.
The most disappointing part of the sale of our home with Mr. Sturvist was that he did not act as our advocate. The buyer’s agent was clearly advocating for them and she did a wonderful job. I am not sure how much we were economically disadvantaged by Mr. Sturvist’s lack of advocacy, but I lost confidence in him. Therefore, I cannot recommend Scott Sturvist.

Scott Sturvist sold my Salinas home in September of 2012 and he did an excellent job. I was a nervous seller and he very expertly led me through all of the many required processes. He has many years of experience in selling properties, he knows the market, was able to advise me on a good price, and he very patiently helped me every step of the way. He sold my house at the time that was right for me and he was the person for the job. I am extremely happy and satisfied with the outcome. I will always be grateful to Scott Sturvist Properties.
