Big Foot Carpet Cleaning

Did an ok job not the best. Had another company come out and redo it.

I have had this company come out twice, first time with a Groupon and next time without. Both times the price was reasonable and the job was excellent. The carpets look amazing. However, since he’s based in Salinas and I’m in Corralitos, he said he would charge me more next time because of the time and gas it takes to get over here, which I understand. If I could find someone local to do as great of a job as he does, I might consider changing, otherwise I’ll call Steve again.

These folks have cleaned our carpet twice, and both times they did a really very nice and good job. They are easy to get in touch with, easy to deal with, have reasonable rates and do good work. They have even gone above and beyond the agreed upon scope of work.

Please read all of the 5 star reviews that wonderful Unilocal has filtered before deciding to use or not use Big Foot. I’ve used his company primarily over the last 20 years on all of my rentals and he has done wonders on these carpets! I wish I could tell you how much money I’ve saved not having to replace floors that I thought could not be saved. What I like at most about Steve is that over the years, he has always remained cutting edge with carpet cleaning technology. He always has the best equipment and is very knowledgeable about the latest and safest cleaning chemicals. He’s never missed an appointment and I can count on him to help out with emergency floods in the middle of the night. Thank you, Steve, for your wonderful and reliable services.

I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I feel that it’s necessary in this case. First off, we got a Groupon for this place, but they would not accept it. That should have been my first warning. Even though the Groupon remained active for about a week after we called, he refused to accept it– he said they were supposed to have taken it down, but even so, if someone can purchase it, he should honor it. So, after we expressed our unhappiness that he wasn’t honoring the Groupon, he offered to basically sell us the services promised by the Groupon (5 rooms + 1 hallway, I believe) for the purchase cost of the Groupon. I spoke with him, and confirmed that stairs were extra (fine). The Groupon was $ 89, but with the stairs, we agreed on $ 125. So far, so good. Since this was my first time getting our carpets cleaned, I asked him specifically if he charged by the square footage of the area actually cleaned, or the square footage of the room itself. He told us he only charged what he cleaned– a little odd, but ok. Then, he shows up, does an OK job on our carpets, and talked my housemate, who was at the house while he cleaned, into charging $ 200. My housemate doesn’t really think about money, so he just paid it. I get home, find this out, and am very frustrated– we had agreed on a price, and apparently the change was NOT due to any increase in work– it turns out he charges by the total square footage of the rooms EVEN IF HE DOES NOT CLEAN THAT SPACE. We have a queen sized bed, for example, that covered some carpet, which was therefore not cleaned, but we were charged as if he had cleaned it. It now seems that this is common practice, but he specifically told me he would charge otherwise. He was rude throughout the whole process, horrible customer service. Would not recommend, to anyone.

If I could give NO stars I would! My appt was today actually. I had purchased a groupon for a 3 room and hallway cleaning. My appt was at 10:30am, the owner I booked my appt with was supposed to call me the day prior to confirm and he didn’t, but I thought oh well, I will get things ready anyways. The room was prepped; however at 7:30am, my daughter who is 7, woke up with a severe fever and wasn’t feeling well. I called her dr to get her in and they had a 10:45am available, so I took it. I called the owner to inform him I was truly sorry but things come up. I asked for a later time today or anything else available and his response was, «Nope, I’m all booked up!» Really? You are completely booked out for weeks even a month out? Based on your reviews pal, I doubt it! So, he suggested to me since he would now have to sit in his van for 30 minutes with a gap in HIS schedule, that I just keep my appt. I told him I was a little appalled that he wasn’t being considerate enough to put my daughters health over him having to sit in his van for 30 minutes. I then again asked for anything else he had and he said NOPE! So I told him, lets make this easy and I will just contact groupon for a refund, he became even more furious with me and told me to «go ahead and do that! Bye! Bye! Bye!»
Ummm, all I can say is WOW! Unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude! I will never use or recommend, this company to anyone. I suggest groupon buyers to Get a refund NOW!

He showed up within the 1 hour window he set and did a quick and professional job. I would definitely recommend Big Foot Carpet Cleaning, and expect I will be calling them again in the future.

Had a great experience! Saw a Groupon and figured, why not? Steve was on time, quick, professional, and did a great job with my carpets. I will definitely be calling again for annual carpet cleanings.

I would definitely recommend Bigfoot Carpet Cleaning. The prices are very reasonable and the cleaners are very professional. We got 100% of our cleaning deposit back even though we hadn’t previously cleaned the carpets for 3 ½ years!
