Beautification Salon & Spa

This is a nice location! This is one of the nicest salons I’ve been in! They have it all here. I love how Gisela does make up, so I booked my cousin with her for winter formal. I wish I knew about this place sooner!

I heard that they were offering $ 15 eye brow waxes that included complimentary eye-​makeup applications. I called and a young lady named Gisela booked me for an appointment the next day. I was running behind and I called to let her know, she said no problem and even stayed late to give me the full experience I was paying for. Gisela was awesome. The perfect mix of energetic, polite, and professional! She was so great that I left her a $ 10 tip and will be back in two weeks.

I went and I got my hair dyed there the service was excellent. My hair turned out beautiful too.

I went here for electrolysis treatment and I was very disappointed. The treatment didn’t seem professional at all and it didn’t seem like the woman who was providing the treatment was an expert at what she did. When asked to make my next appointment I declined because it was overly painful and she didn’t treat my skin at all.

Eva has been cutting my hair for years! She always fits me in last minute and I am always happy with my hair. I love that I can just go in and tell her to do whatever! I totally trust her. I have been going to her at her sisters shop for the past couple of years. I have never seen anything less than professional behavior from all the stylists there! Her sister keeps the shop updated and clean, and changes things up so it always feels new and vibrant. I have had pedicures there also and been very happy. Yes, Eva is the sister of the owner, but in regards to LC’s comments, she was my hairdresser long before she became my friend. Her sister is ethical and wants her patrons to be happy. I know several friends who go there with different stylists, and they are all happy with the salon. I highly recommend Beautification Salon!

Don’t be fooled by the other reviews on here, she said she advertises on Unilocal,so all of these reviews are friends/​family that’s why the reviews are nothing but compliments.
I almost feel bad leaving this review because everyone was so nice there, but considering I went home and literally cried about my haircut I don’t feel bad.
The short version: I’ve been actively growing my hair for almost 4 years, which is slow growing. I asked to cut off 9 inches so I could donate for Beautiful lengths. She cut off over a FOOT of braided hair (even though I brought a ruler!) and then awkwardly curled my short hair so I looked like an old woman. Went from having long beautiful hair to not even being able to put it up in a pony tail.
The long version: I went in for an appointment, there was no one else there. Appointment started 20 minutes late while she chatted and was eating. I brought a picture and a ruler of what I wanted my hair to look like. I had to ask her to wash my hair since it needed to be clean for the donation but she tried to just cut it dirty. When she washed my hair I had to hold up my head the entire time because I was pushed into the sink and it was painful. Then she said she would measure my hair straight, braid it, and then cut it where she originally marked it. She cut off my entire braid and then kept going. There didn’t seem to be any shape to what she was doing, and it certainly wasn’t anything like the picture I brought because there was no hair to do it on. I have measured it 20 times this week, I had plenty of hair that it should’ve been well below my shoulders. She does my hair and curls it without a pattern I ended up looking like a cotton ball. Then she made me take a picture holding my braid with my bad hairstyle. When I got in the car I had to brush out my hair so it looked decent and measured my braid it was way off. I definitely should’ve had someone there that could watch what she was doing. Now I have to go find another hair dresser to fix the hair cut and oh yea… spend another 4 yrs growing out my hair. It tainted what was supposed to be a happy event for someone else.

I just left the salon and I’m very happy! Carole cut my curly hair just right and added a little color to get the red out and add shine. She listens very well and makes great suggestions. AND she’s reasonably priced you couldn’t ask for more. Oh and the salon is real cute too with it’s zebra stripes on the wall very spacious as well. I’ll be back for sure and with my daughters.

Vanessa Ortega is an awesome addition to the Beautification Salon. She always does an excellent job with both my cut and color. I can not say enough good things about the quality of her work. I’m a client for life!

I give Dorcas Miller-​Gash 10 stars. Hands down. She isn’t afraid to suggest a different style. She’s lovely and professional. Her work is always beautiful, and my cuts are always easy to style. Love her!

I’ve been Sophia’s client for almost 10 years now and would drive all the way from Sacramento to Salinas. Since my hair is naturally curly I have had a hard time finding someone that understands my hair type. The first time she cut my hair I was hooked! I completely trust her with my hair. Two years ago I decided to go from long hair to short (think Halle Berry short) she did such an amazing job that I constantly receive compliments by random women and men. I also highly recommend her for highlights and color. My hair color is black and it is hard to find someone to get it just right. Sophia is phenomenal! I have recommended many friends and strangers to her and they are all repeat customers now. Love love love her!
