This honestly was the WORST manicure I’ve had. Starting from the beginning until the end, the manicurist was horrible.
1) Cuticles
I told the manicurist not to cut my cuticles. She didnt cut anything, she didnt even clean my hangnails. Come on now, its common practice.
2) Shaping nails
I told the lady I wanted natural nails, and even showed her a picture. As she was filing my nails, she just did a few swipes on each finger. She wasn’t even really shaping it: my nails literally are all different shapes and not even at all. On top of that, 50% of the time she wasn’t even looking at my nails. She kept looking at other people and talking to her coworkers. Ridiculous.
3) Painting gel nails
Horrible job. It truly is one of the worst paint jobs I’ve ever had. She painted in my skin and she had spots she didn’t cover. She didn’t even go back to check if theres anything that needs to be fixed.
This was a very dissapointing manicure from start to finish. You bet I didn’t give a tip. Please please please avoid this place. Do not even consider! Take this as a lesson learned

DO NOT GO HERE! Waste of time and money! I was just there yesterday for a gel manicure. The manicurist, Amy, did a horrible job. I had to ask for a nail filer to take off all the excess hell on my fingers and cuticles. I then mentioned my dissatisfaction to the owner and she tried to BS me, saying that she left some on my cuticle so it would last longer. Hello, I’ve had my nails done before! Don’t spend $ 25 on ugly nails! Go somewhere else! Never again!

Normally go here for pedicures and nail refills. Beware on Sundays… owner does not post sign that their credit card machine is not working! !
It has happened to me twice already! ! I don’t carry cash because It’s more convenient to use either a debit card or credit card for me. They will send you to Target to get cash. causing you to spend extra money to make a purchase and request cash back. .very inconvenient for me. Especially if you only have a credit card! ! You cannot request cash back from it.
So, if you go here on Sundays… always carry cash.

This is the first time I have been to this salon and was totally unhappy with my service. The lady that did my manicure with gel polish the whole time she was squinting it look like she couldn’t see looked as if she definitely needed glasses glasses. When she first looked for my polish she went back twice and both times came back with different polishes. In the end one of the guys had to find the correct Polish for her. I’m sorry but I had to call complain, my service was not worth $ 25.
The only person I will use from now on if I go to the salon is Kim I highly recommend Kim!

Walked in here after my hair appointment at another place failed me. I walked in and they took me right away! I am happy with my haircut. It didn’t cost too much either, $ 15.00. I am thankful someone was able to cut my hair the same day another hair place failed me. Thanks!

This place is so dirty! My gel lasted for 3 weeks which was awesome but I cannot bring myself to go back because it was so gross. The service was fine, they were friendly but seriously. they need to clean.

Worst hair cut I’ve ever received in my life!!! I ask for layers and only for one inch to be cut off the length and the guy CUT FOUR LAYERS OFF!!! I came home looked in the mirror and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I even asked him several times please only cut one inch off and he said yeah, yeah you will see when it’s finished. I trusted him and my hair totally got cut off! All I wanted to do was come home and see for myself in the mirror hoping it wasn’t as bad as I thought… but I was wrong it was worse even after I tried to blow dry it and fix it it looked AWFUL!!! I even felt stupid for almost crying because I never cry but WOW this place is horrible! Called the manager to ask him if I can please have a refund and he said sorry I can’t do anything for you.

Service is really bad. They ruined my partners pants with wax. The lady was trying to clean it off with cotton and towel. She didn’t apologize for it and she made it worse. When stayed to her they have to pay for the damage she said NO and that it was an accident. She accuse my partner for yelling at her and my partner was calm. Sure accidents happen but she made it worse by using towels and cotton. Finally spoke with the manager or owner and they did take care of it. Not to well either. Looks like they washes it only. But as we walked in they all talked in there language and turned to look at us. Not even an apology just mean looks. Very rude and why is it necessary to speak to clients in a language one doesn’t understand. Don’t they understand that’s bad business ethics and plain rude. Very insipid.

I came here to get my eyebrows done and was super disappointed! I had scabs for a week from being burned with the wax. On. My. Face. Then I decided that maybe I should give it another try, that perhaps if a different person attended me it would be better. This time it was WAY worse and I signed up for Unilocal just to leave this review. The woman who attended me this time told me too lay down on the table, but there were things on it. She seemed terribly annoyed but moved the things. Then I lay down and without halfway looking at me used scissors to trim my brows. She started to walk away with them while they were still supposedly trimming and so pulled my hair and ripped it. Then she grabbed the phone and dialed out, grabbed a stick with hot wax and literally spent less than 2 minutes waxing my brows while taking on the phone. She wasn’t even paying attention! Then, still on the phone, grabbed some tweezers and plucked a few hairs. She hung up the phone and «done» and walked out. When I later looked in the mirror, there were a ton of hairs that she missed and they were very poorly shaped. Awful.

Very friendly people, Made me feel comfortable. Worked with me on what I wanted. Good prices! Theres 2 guys that do nails, the younger one did mine (I forget his name)

This place does awesome haircuts. I’m always skeptical of haircut places and thought I would try this out. Well to my liking I go back every two weeks. This place is quick and well priced. I wouldn’t change anything because they always service me to my desire. This place couldn’t be much better… the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they have other services which I haven’t tried out. I had a hair cut the other day and saw 3 people working on one male getting a pedicure. I might try it out!

Ok, I only get my eyebrows threaded. Unfortunately when I moved to Salinas, it got really hard to travel to Santa Clara to get my eyebrows done.
My husband was getting his hair cut here, and I thought… why not? why not get my eyebrows waxed — though I’ll probably get a teeny break-​out between my eyes as usual with waxing? At least all the extra hairs will be gone.
Hmmm… well I’ll give the positive first: no break-​out.
Here’s the negative: the woman waxed my eyebrows, then, oddly, also started plucking! Then she finally finished and gave me a mirror. *Super Gasp!* Tons of extra hair that was visible! It wasn’t those barely grown out hairs, either! It was must-​be-​removed-​from-​my-​eye-​area-​immediately hairs.
Soo… I went ahead and plucked my eyebrows when I got home. Could have saved $ 10 by just doing that to begin with.
Haven’t been brave, or desperate, enough to try my hair or nails here…

Having moved back home to Salinas, I was terrified of trying out someone in town when I usually drove OUT to get my hair trimmed/​cut/​dyed etc.
I asked my cousin Mae where she got her layered cut done and she recommended me to Terri DeGuzman at LA Salon (formally Gerardo’s).
How could I have forgotten? I used to come here for my updo’s for high school winterball and prom.
I asked for a basic trim and noted that I was growing my bangs out. Terri gave me what I wanted and also suggested that she thin some parts of my hair out. I was very happy with the results. For $ 20, this was a steal!
I have not tried any other services here yet, but I did notice heavy traffic in and out of the door for acrylics and french pedicures. Will update upon testing it out.
