With almost two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, we have a flair for creating that, «one of a kind event.» I have traveled as well as resided in parts of Europe, Asia, and the United States, which has helped me to understand the importance of customs and traditions in creating memories that last a lifetime. More recently, it has been my pleasure to act as on-​site coordinator at a variety of popular wedding sites in Northern California, Monterey Bay, and surrounding counties. By adding increased attention to detail that combines innovativation and creativity to my work, I guarantee a wonderful report with my clients as well as vendors.

We have our own local floral designer on staff, who utilizes California-​organically-​grown flowers in our designs. And our specialty rose grower has every shape, shade and hue of color imaginable!

History

Established in 1997.

After 34 years of «Playing with Flowers», Anita took her experience a step further and in 1997 she created A STARR Events– A Wedding Planning & Coordination Service. «At A STARR Events, We have a flair for creating that «One of a Kind Event” — «I am here to bring your ideas to life, not tell you how YOUR wedding should be.»

Anita began her journey by moving to Germany for three years. While overseas she soaked up whatever culture she could find– food and wine– friends and customs… France, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Belgium, just to name a few of her many travels.

«When you travel to foreign lands there is always a language barrier, but I found a common language shared by every country I visited– the language of flowers.» She realized that flowers have meaning– they tell a story by the type of flower you chose, express love through color, extend emotional support without speaking a word, & brighten everyone’s day.
