Swan Pools

Doug and his team did and awesome job on our pool. I highly recommend using Swann pools. Doug and Jim were extremely friendly, answered all our questions and built us a beautiful pool. They finished earlier than expected and stayed within our budget.

Long story short…, Swan pools did NOT show up to our appointment. I drove from Morgan Hill to meet guy at my Manteca house and I even waited for 1 hour for him to show. NO SHOW is not good. No wonder they have bad reviews. Better to know now then later though.

Swan Pools delivers what they promise at the price promised, but they are not a «one stop shop’. Try to anticipate problems and be your own inspector.
First things first. Positives:
1) The pool is beautiful. Mike Cady (Salesman) did a fantastic job of helping us figure out what we want. Mike was essential to ironing out other project problems.
2) The pool was delivered at price promised.
3) The pool was completed in time for a family gathering.
4) Mike Cady (salesman) went out of his way to make the project work. When a schedule delay resulted in the gunite being installed just prior to a scheduled vacation, he came out to water the gunite for us.
Negatives:
Doug’s (Owner) subcontractors are not helping his image:
1) Electrician. When the pool have to be off set for a few feet, local standards required an electrical outlet be covered — too close to pool. Although I was willing to pay to have a new outlet installed, the Swan electrician was not able to help and I had to arrange for my own electrician.
2) Tile and Brick (El Dorado Tile)
a) To install the brick, they needed to cut some pre-​existing concrete, but failed to move five pieces of patio furniture, or or protect the security screens. After two washings, Doug came out and cleaned the screens himself to correct the issue.
b) Plaster splashes were left on the tile. Fortunately, I was on on site to point out the defects and have them corrected before they left.
c) When I decided I needed the brick patio extended, it took two calls to get the contactor to make an estimate, and never got a call back to schedule the work.
Design Issue:
When we laid out the pool, we did not know where the skimmer would be. We left only a single line of brickwork, too narrow to stand upon to plug and unplug the skimmer. This potential problem was not pointed out to me (and I would have paid) and I did not figure it out until after the pool was delivered.

My husband and I live in Del Rio and recently purchased a pool from Swan Pools. We couldn’t be more pleased! We had estimates from other companies, but ultimately decided on Swan Pools. Their salesman was knowledgable and made us feel comfortable. We placed our trust in their well known name and have a gorgeous pool, that was even built AHEAD of schedule!!! Our family has been enjoying our new pool everyday since!!!

I love working with Swan Pools in Salida! They are wonderful to work with! They have great communication. The last few jobs we have done for them have turned out wonderful! Its nice working with companies who pay all there bills on time! I would highly recommend Swan Pools Salida to anyone building a Pool or doing a remodel. The entire Automatic pool cover process went nice and smooth. Any issues were taken care of that day well we were there. A dream come true!
