I found out about this cigar shop on Google. The store had a small page with information put up on Myspace. It seemed like they had a decent number of clients, so I thought I’d give it a go. One of the things that appealed to me was that they claimed it was one of the only places in the state where you could smoke inside. That wouldn’t be too bad. When I opened the door, I looked into what could easily have been a living room. If I wasn’t mistaken, that’s even how they described themselves. They had a pretty nice TV, and I imagine if you liked sports or some sort of cigar friendly tv show, you’d have a decent time lighting up there. A guy was sitting on a couch and he said hi and stood up to turn on the humidor’s lights. I assumed he was Gary. Up until then, everything seemed fine. But then I stepped into the humidor. The selection was very small. One of the reasons I was checking out new places was because I wanted to try stuff that Avva(in Lancaster Mall) didn’t have, or maybe get some of the stuff they had for a cheaper price. Nothing doing. They did offer a few that were not carried by Avva, but then again there was only a few. I ended up buying a Vegas 5, Maduro. Never tried it, but it was only $ 7.75. They charge a little extra if you use debit or credit, so try to bring cash if you’re going. As for me, I’m very partial to small, DIY, Mom & Pop shops and I hope other people give Gary’s a try. But perhaps you may call in advance to find out what they have in stock. It might save you a trip.
