Talk about pissed off! Pulling up as soon as you meet the attendant you already feel unwelcome and a inconvenience. Usually have amazing service on my vehicle and customer service wise unfortunately didn’t get that today.

We have been coming here for years and the service has always been excellent. Overall I think that this place offers a great value.

I went here about a year ago – first and last time. After waiting over an hour for my car, drove off and at the next destination opened my trunk. It was obvious it had not been cleaned and was filty. I was in a hurry and didn’t really look the car over other than noticing the trunk and one smeared window. I took the car back within a half hour of picking it up and told the manager about the trunk and window. He had me pull over to the side where he told the guy to vacuum the trunk only while I remained in the car. I had to again remind him about the window. When I went to leave, I was instructed to drive around the building to exit. There where a bunch of employees sitting around blocking the area. I had to get out of my car and ask them to move so I could get my car out. Upon getting home, I noticed the back had not been vacuumed, areas inside the doors had not been cleaned as well there were several areas not wiped down. I have previously went to other businesses and had this type of service done. I have never gotten my car back this filthy. Not worth my time and money for this kind of service.

SLOW! 1 hour and $ 25 for a In and out wash ?! Come on! Extremely over priced ! I shouldn’t have to pay extra to wipe down the interior. Especially when you are doing the dash. An extra 1 minute isn’t worth the extra level of «service» and neither are all of the other added snake oil services.
I will never be back. Waste of time and money!

My car came out super clean was very impressed by there service. It was worth the wait but still kind of costly wish they had some kind of punch system for free services.

VERY SLOW!!! They do a fair job cleaning your car, but plan on waiting a minimum of an hour. It’s the only full service car wash that I’m aware of in south Salem.

They do a good wash, when they finally get to your car. Check in is a joke. I’ve been here 45 minutes and my car has just finished being vacuumed.
Doesn’t matter the order you arrive in, they just check in people willy nilly.
I had to call out the gentleman that was checking people in. I had arrived first and he told me ‘just a minute’ while he got distracted and started helping others who showed up after myself.
He then told me he couldn’t check people in after a certain point on the asphalt. And started to blame his co-​worker on ‘messing up the flow’
Needless to say I was extremely disappointed about this situation.
Paying inside was a breeze.
Again, disappointed. Management needs to work on their processes and improving them.
Nobody wants to wait over an hour, no matter how good the car wash. I

The most I’ve ever paid for a car wash and the worst car wash I’ve ever had. I could go on and on but my car was worse than when I took it. The whole inside was wiped down with dirty tag so I had to clean it all out when I go home. Could barely see out of the windows.
What a waste of money!!!

This was one of the biggest customer service disappointments I’ve ever experienced, let alone as a car wash.
Drove in, first time ever there. Did not see the A-​Frame signs that said it could take up to 45 minutes. Was not in a hurry, but didn’t have an hour for a drive through car wash.
It was a brand new car, so I was excited that you can watch the car as it goes through the wash… so kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and eventually saw cars go through, one at a time, all the way through… waiting again, then the next car… still not mine.
Paid. Wow, $ 30 bucks? Really? This ought to be a top notch experience. Waited some more. I could still see my car out the other side of the store, hadn’t left the vacuum line up. It was not busy. Even the cashier mentioned it was a slow day.
By the time my car went through the wash, and was sitting 4^th in line to be wiped down and cleaned inside, it had been over 45 minutes. The rate they were going, it would be another 15 – 20 minutes before they even got to my car. I finally had to ask to get my car keys and leave before my car got sandwiched between other vehicles. Like I said, I wasn’t in a hurry, but I didn’t have an hour or more to sit around for something I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes for a car wash, ever, even on a busy sunny day. This wasn’t one of those.
The lousy customer service came from the management’s lack of response to an email my partner sent in. Zero response. So he sent another, and with that response they pointed out that they have A-​frame signs telling how long the wait will be, and that customers shouldn’t pay any attention to what the cashier says. And worst of all, the email was forwarded from someone else at the car wash that had read it first, basically saying, «here, can you deal with this guy?»
So yeah, pay more attention to your customers. Your $ 30 car wash is out of place in a city like Salem unless you offer superior service as a car wash, and as customer service to make customers feel appreciated. I’m certainly not interested at this point in ever coming back, even with the offer of a «free wash» if we can dig up our receipt. I’ve been insulted enough by Car’l B Clean. There are plenty of other options. I’d rather wash it at home than bring it here again. And it doesn’t take me an hour.

I have been to this place a few times and service was pretty good. I drive across town for this place. Today it was horrible. Staff standing around. Cars taken out of order. Me and another couple were there an hour, no exaggerating to get a car wash! The owner better wake up.

This place does a passable job as a car wash. A little over priced, but passable.
I bought one of the more expensive packages for exterior and interior cleaning, but the front windshield interior was only half cleaned.
Worst of all, one of the employees stole the my Magellan GPS out of the center console of my car. So don’t leave anything of value in your car if you go here.

My review is for the Gift Shop — who knew a car wash would have such a great gift shop?! The service is good but its too expensive for a car wash. I go to the $ 5 place on the corner of Market and Lancaster.

We just wanted the bugs off the car so we went through the drive thru wash but were pleasantly surprised that they scrub brushed the bugs off for us first. Nice!!!

I am writing an update to my previous review because soon after posting it, I received a message from Joe, who I believe is the owner or manager of this business. He told me that they DO IN FACT have loyalty cards!!! What??? I told him that in three years of all platinum washes every other month, I have never been asked about any loyalty card. Joe decided, in that case, to send me a free platinum wash!!!
That’s good business. If you have a problem with your wash or a worker, talk to these guys (a higher up) because they will make it right. They do right by their customers.
You guys have a loyal fan in me from now on! Way to do it right, and thank you!

Don’t waste your money. Overpriced for basically a drive thru car wash w/​vacuums. The equipment they use is not good for the car. It’s the old style brushes & plastic scrubbers — guaranteed to scratch your paint!

Had a basic interior cleaning done and wound up going straight to the $ 1 vacuum at another car wash because they did such a terrible job. Won’t be going back.

First time here and I am very very impressed!
They got my car all sparkly clean inside and out. I used the $ 3.00 off coupon from the website and got the Platinum wash (normally $ 29.95) worth every penny.
They got all the dog hair out the back seat and wiped the interior down too :)
I watched 4 young men working on the car after it was washed working on all the details — GOOD JOB!
I will be back for sure!!!

I have been going to Car’l B Klean regularly over the last 7 years. I’m not sure what other reviewers are hoping for, but I’ve always been satisfied with the work. It is spendy at nearly $ 30 for the upper level cleanings. The quality is always just fine. Of course it would look better if it were detailed but that isn’t what this is about. It is an automatic wash and wipe down.
The gift shop is an interesting touch that seems to draw in more women customers than men. The baristas are also nice given that you’re likely to be there about 30 minutes.

I was looking to have my car cleaned and without hesitation they helped everyone around me first. I was parked in the first lane had pulled up, waited 10 minutes and another car pulls up. They weren’t busy and yet they served the other car first. So I ended up backing all the way out of the lane to leave with out service. I tried to give them another chance later on and found that not only did I pay for the works without even getting basics cleaned from the outside wash itself, but they didn’t provide any customer service and tried to sell me on multiple washes knowing they have no true loyalty since they cannot complete the job they promise.
I would NOT trust my car here, word to the wise don’t wast your time.

I’ve been here probably 7 times over 10 years… in the last 3 times I’ve been here, they have been very disappointing.
Keep in mind my car is a Honda Civic — not the biggest car and I never bring it in filthy. On my last visit, I paid for the most expensive package (was almost $ 30) and when I got my car back, it looked okay. However, when I got into the sunlight, I noticed the windshield wasn’t washed in the middle, at all.
Also, the dash had not been wiped down and was dusty.
Looking over the car more, I noticed many instances of them cutting corners.
If you want a good car wash in Salem, I’d recommend heading over to Magic Touch on Lancaster. It’s not a nice… but the employees work HARD and your car will look spotless in the end.
