Was all set to enjoy a nice lunch at another restaurant but found it to be closed. We went to the Wildwood, where my mother had a huge juicy cheeseburger, and I enjoyed one of the best buffalo chicken wraps I’ve ever had. The wrap was big enough to share. I only ate half, not because it wasn’t tasty but because it was so large. We will be adding Wildwood to our lists of pleasant places to enjoy fabulous food.

The Wildwood Grill seems better suited as a bar rather than a restaurant. The food portion was skimpy and the quality was just not there. Also, it was freezing in there… really not a comfortable place to dine. It is a beautiful building, but as far as this being a place to eat… I say pass. There were no redeeming features in this meal.

Horrible place to eat. Pushy staff if you can get them to acknowledge you. Slow service messed up drinks. I’d rather eat at McDonald’s

So far I’m disappointed. We go to place our orders and they are out of half the items on the menu. In addition to the fact that the menu isn’t correct and they are waiting for the new menus to come in. We were seated in a cold alcove as their dining room is closed. The waitress doesn’t know the menu as she has only been here a week. Needless to say I’m very disappointed. I hope that the food is up to standards. So far it’s not looking like I will ever come back or recommend this place to anyone.

Do NOT eat here unless you like waiting over an hour for your food and then you are given the wrong food! We went here last night and we will never go back! Took over half an hour to get my french onion soup and even had to ask for it. The waitress said she thought she was just going to bring it with my dinner.(wrong answer girl!) To be fair the french onion soup was OK, just a very small crock of it and they used croutons(instead of bread) under the cheese– I’ve never seen that done before. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla for an appetizer and he got very tiny wedges(I mean VERY tiny) that were barely warm. The waitress made the kitchen make another order of them as she thought it was too small for a $ 6.00 price tag!(she was right). I ordered the fried shrimp dinner and after waiting over an hour for our food(with no explanation from the server) I was given a measly plate of the worst looking shrimp scampi I’ve ever seen. The waitress said they don’t even have fried shrimp! Luckily, my husband offered to eat the shrimp scampi and gave me his hamburger. He ordered a single hamburger and they brought a double.(again no explanation) The burger was good, however. The cocktail sauce they brought with the shrimp scampi was almost pure horseradish tinted a little pink with maybe ketchup? It was horrible. To be fair, the waitress offered to bring another entrée of my choice in place of the shrimp scampi, but I didn’t want to wait another hour for what could be another wrong order. It was freezing cold in there too and the waitress said she didn’t know where the thermostat was to try to warm it up. I wore my winter coat thru the entire meal. If you like to drink and play pool you may like this place. But for food — forget it! We will never ever go back and that is sad to say because there are only a handful of places to eat in this tiny town.

Not impressed. The dining room was so cold it reminded me of a dungeon, so we went upstairs where, while we waited for our food for an hour, a band proceeded to set up right behind us, leaving the door open while they brought in their equipment. Our«pepsis» were more like water and the waitress had to be asked every time someone needed a refill. They told us the burger my son got(a good 15 min. After everybody else’s order) would be on the house because they didn’t have pizza dough for his pizza he originally ordered, but it wasn’t even after we questioned the bill. I got shrimp with no cocktail sauce and the portions were very small. Should have went to Burger King !

The Wildwood Grill has a great atmosphere and very friendly employees! Everything that my family ordered on the new menu was very tasty! I would recommend that everyone visit The Wildwood Grill! I can’t wait to go back! Thank you!

Looks like I’m the first. This is my second visit and I remain unimpressed but anticipatory. There are so few quality eats in this area I was hoping this would do it. So, I went there on a Friday night. The dining area is in the basement(also some porch tables for good weather). OK, lots of TVs. We had three adults and three under 15. Food ended up being generic bar food. I had the Fish Fry(on a Friday during Lent) as did my sister. Both had big pieces of fish, heavily battered but cooked to perfection. The coleslaw looked like it was from a few days ago, as did the side garnish(not needed) of a few spinach leaves. Fries were middle of the road. B-in-law had the baked fish, which he said was OK. Kids had kid stuff and three refills on soda, by the can. My biggest gripe was that the TVs were LOUD(March Madness). There was us and a table of 6 who left soon after we arrived. I asked for the volume to be turned down after the table left, only to have the volume on a local country FM station to replace it equally loud. As a sidebar, the usual beer choices on tap. The only variance they had was Newcastle amber. Eh. In an area of the Southern Tier brewing company, and the Ithaca Co. not far away, how could they miss on this? However, the last time I was there in the fall, they did have the Southern TIer IPA on tap, so take your chances I guess. I really hope this place picks up the pace as it has so much potential in the area of NO local quality eats. Three adults, three kids, $ 60.00, plus tip.
