Jen D. is the gal to go to for beautiful blond bobs! She gave me a partial balayage highlights and a bob hair cut. Since visiting Jen D., several people have told me I have the best hair they have ever seen me with! She is a very talented hair stylist and nice person. On a slightly separate note, I have also been going to this salon for microdermabrasion facials and every aesthetician that has worked on my skin has been outstanding.

Popped in on a Sunday night before closing. There were four women by the counter, all very friendly and one in particular offered to help me pick out Eminence products. She steered me towards the Red Current moisturizer with SPF and it’s fantastic: light, smooth, and my skin looks great. I was so impressed with the space that I’ll be back to try out some services. Love that it’s in a house!

Quite a gem! Our hair was outstanding! We just had a blow dry, but it was wonderful. Great head massages too!

I only popped in here to purchase Jane Iredale makeup but the gal at the front desk and gal who helped me choose the right color were super helpful and friendly. She spent a lot of time picked the perfect shade. Because of that I am going to try a facial soon. Psyched to find a place that sells Jane Iredale!

Awesome people here! The girls at the reception area are very friendly and make you feel welcome. I like that the spa part is separate from the salon. Feels very relaxing to sit in a separate place with comfortable chairs and refreshments. The rooms are spacious and bright. The overall flow of both the spa and salon are great!

I went her for a full facial and it was amazing. We talked about my skin and since my face is usually dry we didn’t do much exfoliation. It was so relaxing I actually fell asleep afterwards. Whoops! They give you lots or tea or water and samples you can take home. My face felt so great that I decided to buy the lotion and face wash used. Anytime my face is freaking out I use it and I’m smooth as a baby’s bottom. The product line is Éminence and I have the calm skin chamomile. No more target store brands for this gals face!

I’m a guy and as such spend as little money on my hair as possible. After getting totally butchered at great clips, my wife made me try Phresh. It was amazing the difference. I’m too modest to say I look good, so I’ll mention the service, or should I say treatment? The people at Phresh are so nice and friendly. Nothing at all like I was expecting. There was even a Muslim customer who couldn’t be in the presence of a guy without her scarf. The woman who cut my hair had to be sensitive to that and sit me where I couldn’t have any contact with this Muslim woman. It was all super nice and very professional. I’ll be back. No more great clips and it was only $ 30. Much better than what I was expecting.

I followed a stylist here from White Bear, Annie. She is great, friendly and always listens to what I want. I’ve rarely been disappointed here.
Some of the reception staff could be a little more attentive but other than that I have no real complaints.

Talented, kind, and amazing people! I’ve never had a bad experience, and am very picky with my hair. Highly recommend it!

Since moving to Saint Paul, I have tried several different salons and Phresh is by far my favorite. I have gone once for a haircut and a second time for balayage and loved how my hair turned out! They always give free samples of their products, offer you a drink while you wait, and really care about maintaining the health of your hair. They also have a great point system that adds up for discounts! Carisa does a great job for color if you are looking for a stylist!

Phresh is in my hometown, and even though I live halfway across the country from St. Paul, I only get my hair cut here! It has a warm, friendly feel, without the snobbery you find at a lot of salons. I had a new stylist last time – Brie or Bri – and she did a fantastic job on my hair, so much so that I can just let it air dry now and it looks great! I also like their pedicure spot upstairs.

I haven’t had a «home» salon since I was 12 and my mom brought me along to her appointments. I’ve tried a bunch of places and never really cared for a particular salon or stylist until it was Important.
Yes, I have Important hair. I went from looong black hair to a short blonde pixie last year and it requires Maintenance.
Somehow, I ended up with Annie and I LOVE her. She got the cut I wanted (I brought a picture) right off the bat and she is a total bad ass at coloring. People actually think I’m blonde. HAHAHAHAHA.
Did I mention it’s about $ 50 less here than anywhere else? I didn’t? WELL, IT IS. Plus, there’s some magical point system that lets you earn money off your total with return visits. Fantastic!

I had a haircut here two weeks ago and went for necktrim this past weekend to a different salon. My necktrimmer asked where I got my haircut and I asked why… Apparently the backside of my hair was all uneven and not cut evenly. The hair stylist has great personality and is friendly at Phresh, but I had to get my hair fixed over the weekend.
I’ll still go to Phresh for my other services, but not for haircuts.

I just moved to the twin cities from Northern MN and I had absolutely no idea where to go for a good hair cut. I went out on a limb and chose Phresh because it was the only salon I could find with prices starting under $ 40. The experienced definitely was worth above and beyond what I paid!
Brianna was fantastic, I had a difficult request because I basically wanted a bad haircut fixed, but without taking off any length. Not an easy task. But she was great and fully talked through all of our options and explained every step of the process to me. I absolutely love the results! Better than I was even hoping for.
Also I love that the girls don’t work on commission, so even when they make product recommendations they are not pushy about it and you know they are only suggesting what will actually work for you, not just trying to make a profit. All and all a wonderful experience and I will DEFINITELY be back.

Since moving to the Twin Cities I have had a really hard time finding a salon and stylist who can meet my needs since I grew up in the industry and can be pretty particular about my hair. I went to Phresh in St. Paul to get my hair highlighted and cut for the very first time in March and I am thrilled that I did!
The salon was so cute and full of character with knowledgeable and friendly staff. My stylist Briana was very thorough during our consultation before doing my hair and I LOVED the way it turned out! She also gave me tips on how to avoid and correct the damage that has occurred to my hair from the water.
Needless to say, I have found my salon and my stylist!

I’ve been to Phresh in St. Paul for the following services: hair, massage and facial. I have had excellent services every time! I think they have excellent customer service and the girls up front are always welcoming and friendly both on the phone and in person. My services have also been of excellent quality and I look forward to going back again soon. Which reminds me… I’m due for some pampering! Time to make an appointment!

I have been going to Phresh in St Paul since it opened. I have always had great service there. I’ve been there for haircuts, color, facial, wax, massages and mani/​pedis. I have always had a great experience. I highly recommend Mindy for a facial or wax. She is awesome! I have not had a consistent hair stylist so can not recommend one at this time. (I utilize both the St Paul and St Louis Park locations.)
Customers get points for the money spent and the points turn into gift certificates… Which is fun to pamper yourself for free!
I also love that it is a small business and locally owned.

I’ve been going to Phresh Salon on Grand ever since I started going to school in St. Paul, which is close to three years. I actually found out about this salon from my stylist back home who read that Phresh was voted one of the best salons in the Twin Cities by some nationwide magazine like Allure (not sure, but somebody had it in there).
It was a relief to find this place only because I require a stylist who can tackle my very difficult (thick and wavy) hair. I called Phresh for the first time, and was greeted by a lovely, welcoming voice. I booked my appointment with Mayu, who is from Japan. Being Japanese myself, I thought maybe she could help tame my Asian locks. haha
I’ve seen Mayu a handful of times since, and every time, no matter what image I show her, she can cut my hair to be anything! It’s rather amazing! I told her to make me look like a K-​Pop star, J-​Pop Star, Korean Actor, this actor, that actor. All were what I wanted! The service that Phresh Salon provides is top-​notch, you are greeted with hot tea, water, or coffee. During the winter time, they take your coat. (I guess since I’m from Hawaii, I don’t understand the concept of a coat rack) While I am getting my hair washed and conditioned, Mayu does the most amazing head massage, which makes me want to drift into sleep. Sign of total relaxation, I think!
It’s so nice and bright in Phresh, nice hardwood floors, recess lighting, music piped in every room of the house, it’s pretty bumpin’. All the clerks are friendly, nice, and welcoming, so I’m confused as to why the other Unilocalers were so harsh.
Phresh Salon also has an online booking system, which is so helpful when you’re trying to book an appointment in a hurry. You don’t need to keep asking dates, instead, you type in when you’re available, and they’ll match a time slot within seconds! Phresh is also on facebook, has an email newsletter and also participates in Grand Ave. block parties and fashion shows. I enjoy the fact that they reach out to the community. It’s an upscale, neighborhood salon!
My suggestion to customers who weren’t satisfied with their service: most time you can see where a service is going, meaning, you aren’t just flashed a final result, you witness the entire process. With me, if I see that my stylist isn’t cutting off the length that I want, I’ll just speak up! It’s much easier than to keep your mouth shut and mouth-​off about it later… No matter what image you show a stylist, you’re the only one who knows exactly what you want. So don’t be afraid to just make a mention here and there. Believe me, it’s less harmful.
I don’t think Phresh deserves the average rating, which is why I’m giving them 5 Stars. Every visit for me, was enjoyable, satisfying, and exciting. Going to the salon should be a relaxing time for people, go and make the most of it!

I’m really surprised at all the «negative» reviews. I’ve been seeing Ashley for massage for a while & have never had a negative experience.
Phresh is a very hip & trendy salon located on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. There is ample street parking. They are in this funky old house and the space is amazing. The front desk is so nice and helpful, especially Christie. They take your coat, offer you something to drink. The waiting area is a little small, but the goal is not to have you wait.
Ashley listens to what I need and I always feel so much better after my massage. I’ve had my hair cut a couple of times by different stylist and never had a bad experience.
I’d recommend this salon to anyone who wants a high quality experience at reasonable prices.

I spent over $ 100 (including tip&tax) on a facial. Definitely not the best facial I’ve ever had, but I desparately needed some exfoliation and hydration with the seasona change. Plus it was the only place that would take me at 3:00pm on a Saturday when I called 30 min ahead…
All in all an extremely nice space and a friendly staff. A little over-​priced for sure. It was an okay experience — nothing bad happened.
I agree with Lisa F. completely — I don’t think I’ll be a regular at this place.
