The service at Juut was wonderful the moment I walked in the door. The receptionist took my coat and offered me water or tea. The colorist was ready right away and talked me through what I wanted. The color did not come out as strong as I would have liked, but that could have been my mis-​communication because I told her I wanted it to look natural (which it does). The woman who cut my hair was amazing, she knew what I wanted and fixed some awful layers I had. I will go back just for her! They even fit my mother in to their schedule for a manicure while she was waiting for me to get me hair done. You will pay for the «salon experience» but it is worth it, Thank you Juut!

I started going to Juut St Paul for back waxing and the experience was amazing. First, you are offered tea, coffee or water & brought to a very comfortable waiting area. The staff are very professional. The waxing Was amazing, it was over in 20 minutes & was nearly painless. Then I tried the training salon in Uptown and discovered Claudia, following her back to St Paul when she graduated from Uptown. Claudia does a fine job on both chest & back waxing. Guys, if you are looking for professional, fast but excellent quality waxing, I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

I’ve been coming here for years. I’ve gotten other services — massage, blowouts, and pedicures but the primary thing I come for is cut/​color.
I love this place! The service is always great, they really take the whole daymaker thing very seriously.
Abby does such a good job with my color — I’ve recommended her to other people who have also had great results with all different colors/​hair types.
I’ve had lots of different people cut my hair over the years. I have a little bit of challenging hair texture so any time I’ve had to switch stylists (never by my choice!), I always talk about it with the scheduler and they make great recommendations. They clearly know who specializes in different types of hair — they are always spot on.
It’s also a bonus that they sell great Aveda products. They never pressure you into buying anything but are really helpful when you want something. I also like the coupons they send out if you are an Aveda Pure Privilege member.
I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Got a haircut from Kathryn and she was great! I have very fine, straight hair that doesn’t have a lot of volume — Kathryn has similar hair and knew exactly how to cut and style it. She also asked what my usual styling routine was and didn’t try to push me to do more than I was comfortable with. She demonstrated the products that she used on me but also gave me suggestions of how to use similar products I already had at home. She also showed me a few techniques I did not know how to do, like back-​comb my hair and style it with a flatiron. I left the salon not only feeling great about my hair but also more confident that I could replicate it!
Juut has such a relaxing vibe and nice little extras — staff who hang up your coat, offer you that AMAZING tea, and even a heated toilet seat on a cold night :) It’s a great overall experience. Juut is definitely more pricey than other places but it is absolutely worth it.

Juut is fabulous! I’ve been to every one in the state over the years, depending on where I’ve been living, and have never had a bad experience. All staff is friendly, well-​trained and professional. The environment is relaxing and tranquil.

Booked a massage for my Anniversary for my husband and I. They canceled on us and rescheduled for later in the week. Showed up a second time and was canceled on again. Paid a sitter to come twice to not receive a massage and was simply told sorry by the front desk staff. I will not book through them again.

Came in for a hair cut here for the first time. My hair is long and wavy/​curly and the first thing I said when I sat down was to NOT leave my hear looking all square. And square is what I got, she said she was gonna fix it by cutting it more but I wanted to keep my length so I literally walked out. All hair dressers out there: stop cutting wavy/​curly hair squared, you cant be cutting it the same way you cut straight hair!

Had Courtney cut my hair and I love it. She was friendly and asked what I wanted. She cut it just the way I wanted!

I asked my FB universe for recommendations for a hair salon/​stylist and Juut won the vote! So I visited for my first time ever to chop off 10″ and donate to Locks of Love.
The salon itself is absolutely adorable, and you can sip on water or tea while you wait in the swanky lounge. My amazing stylist recommended a hair style for me (an asymmetrical lob) when I told her I was looking for something not so «Plain Jane» which I would have never thought of on my own. To top it off, I got $ 45 off my cut just for donating to a good cause!
I love the results and would highly recommended Juut on Grand!

I see Edie for color every other month or so, and she’s the best! She is a pleasure to be around, always works magic on my hair, and has great ideas for adding a little something fun (ombré, subtle streaks of color, etc.). I have long curly hair and she knows how to style it well.
The other salon staff are great as well. The first time I scheduled an appointment at Juut on Grand there was a slight scheduling mix-​up (pretty much entirely my fault, too), for which they gave me a 50% discount on my next appointment.

Some may argue that eyebrows are the most important feature to a woman’s face, but I couldn’t disagree more. I believe hair is the most important face framing feature. Despite what side you are on you’re able to have the best of both worlds here at Juut on Grand Ave.
I don’t know how important hair is to people, but for myself it’s something that I NEED to have perfectly cut and styled everyday. So when it comes to having shears touch my hair, those shears better be in EMMY L.‘s right hand. I’ve been seeing Emmy for years now, and I’ve slowly have learned to trust her. I no longer spend hours saving photos on the internet of celebrities’ hair I envy, I schedule the appointment, and tell her to just ‘do yo thang’.
An hour and a half later it comes out PERFECT! I’m able to say that because she’s given me long layers, side swept bangs, blunt cuts, short bobs, shoulder length cuts, blunt bangs… as you can tell I believe life is too short to stick to one style. It’s so much fun to look at your Facebook photos over the years and see yourself with a new do.
Time may change, life events happen, but one thing is certain: Emmy as my go to hair mama (mama because she takes damn good care of my hair like a mom would of her kids)!

Finding the perfect stylist who just GETS your hair is kind of like the quest for the Holy Grail – you can spend your whole life in pursuit of it, and in the end you’re not even sure if the object you’re pursuing really exists.
I’ve found many stylists who I’m pretty happy with at other locations, but (excuse me while I knock on wood) Alli Johnson might be my personal Holy Grail Stylist.
I have objectively difficult hair. It is thick, frizzy, unevenly curly, unruly and fine. I usually wear it straight, and I’m in the process of growing it out. Alli (a curly-​haired woman herself) has given me two of the best cuts I’ve ever had, keeping the length while building perfectly shaped layers, and her blowout skills are second to none. Literally even after SLEEPING on my blowout, it still looked amazing this morning. Props to Alli.
I was uncertain about the cost – a haircut with her is not cheap, and I only got my first cut with her because I had a gift card – but damn! You get what you pay for.

I got my hair colored here by Emma a little while back and she did such an amazing job, if I lived anywhere near Juut still I would be a regular customer for sure.
Emma was super friendly and she totally knew her stuff when it came to color. She managed to bring my hair from blah to amazing like it was nothing. She even dyed my eyebrows!
Aveda is great, Juut is great, Emma + Aveda + Juut = perfect!

I don’t trust many people with my hair… actually I don’t trust ANYONE. Except a certain someone at this salon: EMMY L. I’ve been going to her for years now and she never fails to make my hair look great. They always have tea and water (I think it’s cucumber and lemon infused… or something refreshing like that) available for you to grab yourself if you change your mind after declining a drink from the woman who tells you to have a seat.
I think Emmy is an overall good person to get a haircut from. I’ve been to other salons in the past and I always feel so intimidated by the woman cutting my hair because most of the time I would get pretentious women or I would just feel like they didn’t really care about my hair issues. She’s always excited to see you and catch up with you about life and it’s always good to see what’s going on with her too.
If you are a woman with thin/​fine hair, she is the person to see! I have really fine/​thin hair and just talking about it right now makes me want to cringe. I feel like good hair and confidence are most definitely tied together! I’ve always been majorly insecure about my hair but whenever I see Emmy she always genuinely assures me that it’s not that bad. I always feel a little better when she tells me that. She’s always introducing me to products or ways I can style my hair to make it look more full, which I appreciate so much. I sampled the Invanti system in the past per her recommendation and when I use it, it works SO well for me. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but I can never put a price on hair that makes me feel more like myself.
If you’re looking for a new salon/​new hair stylist, try this location out and see Emmy Le. I’m such a firm believer in the whole saying, «you get what you pay for» and this is one of those instances. I used to get my hair chopped by random places and I was NEVER satisfied. I live all the way in Plymouth and I drive to St. Paul to get my hair cut LOL… worth every penny and every gallon of gasoline.

Do not schedule a visit with Francesca at Juut on Grand. She discriminates.
Visiting family for Christmas, my mother and I scheduled joint appointments. My mother for a haircut; me for a perm. I came in 15 minutes early for the consultation, and Francesca had gotten as far as telling me which color rod she would use. When I mentioned I was a single mom working several jobs, she suddenly said she couldn’t help me today. She said she didn’t have enough time, with her «other guests.» When I asked how much time they had scheduled for me, she wasn’t sure, but thought two hours. My hair is shoulder length; not so long as to require more time than the average booking.
The front desk staff were not concerned; merely offered me my coat. No effort to help.

My sister and I went to Juut for pedicures on Friday after purchasing a groupon. The pedicure was a very pleasant experience. They have large, leather massaging chairs and offer a warm, scented towel for your neck. They can do two pedicures at a time but the chairs are across the room from each other, not next to each other.
I thought the pedicure was pretty good. We had the balancing pedicure which is about $ 60 – 65. It starts with your standard soak and nail trim. Then you get a nice salt scrub for your legs and feet followed by polish. I thought the polish job was excellent.
My only complaint: I don’t really like when salons charge different amounts based on the person performign the service, especially for pedicures. I’m pretty sure my pedicure was exactly the same as my sister’s pedicure, but mine was $ 5 more…

I went here for my first Brazilian and it was wonderful. WONDERFUL! I had Liza and she was totally cool and made the process very easy and not awkward (bonus). It was much less painful than I thought it would be, though I sweated like a marathoner through the whole thing.
Anyhoo, Liza was quick and painless and I think that’s what we’re looking for here, right?

My first visit to any of the Juut salons, Rebecca made my day. I like the «DAYMAKER» slogan these folks have adopted. She gave a great pedicure, my pedi mate was happy with Erin’s pedicure services as well.
I’d give this place four stars, if it weren’t for both of the front desk staff members who need some reminders about the company’s Daymaker concept. They were efficient, but not much else.
Expect to pay about twice what you would if you were to go one of the many nail shops in town for a pedicure. The upsides are the Aveda product they use and semi-​private area upstairs with it’s soothing music.
