Bonfe started as a one man plumbing shop in 1993. Over time hard work, determination and customer loyalty encouraged the owner to add heating and air conditioning to the mix. In order to better serve our customers, Bonfe made a bold move to add electrical, drain cleaning and appliance repair to our list of existing services.

Zach H. was very friendly and did a great job evaluating my HVAC needs and setting up my humidifier install and furnace cleaning. I would definitely recommend these guys for any HVAC service. There service was pricey but I think it was worth it. They installed my humidifier same day and I’m very happy with my experience.

Bonfe had great scheduling services, customer service, and technician availability. Unfortunately, their prices are outlandish and absurd.
When the tech arrived he tried to charge me $ 931 for a garbage disposal. Other quotes I got were $ 250. Their work might be good, but they are gouging folks. The tech still charged me $ 89 for a service call.
I did call the Bonfe office and asked for a refund. They were very cordial and agreed to refund my service call without any hassle at all.

There was nothing worse than coming home from a long day to a freezing house. I was not amused. But from the first call to Bonfe I was met with a professional and kind voice on the other line setting up a technician to come out early the next morning. The first time available was 9:30. At 8:30 I received a phone call from Bonfe telling me that the original time wasn’t looking like it would happen and gave me a little bit later of a time.
Roman S. showed up at the new time, got right down to business, and fixed my furnace! I know absolutely nothing about furnaces and Roman gave me some tips on what I should see/​recognize. I could not be happier with his skills and it was obvious he knew what he was doing.

Zach H came out today to do my annual boiler tune-​up. He was very courteous and, as always, did a great job. Love the fact that the technicians put on shoe covers so as to not track dirt into the house (not that you would necessarily be able to tell, looking at my «needs to be mopped kitchen floor…»).
Zach took the time to explain what he had done, and made sure I knew what to watch for if there would be any issues.
He also took time to explain and support the new pricing structure for the service plan. I really appreciated his professionalism and candor.
I will (and do) definitely be recommending Bonfe’s and their service plans to anyone with an older home (or a home — period). The peace of mind that they offer is priceless!

Terrible, we had Matt out to look at hanging two chandeliers. He told us neither could be done and the one at the top of the stairs would take $ 800 worth of scaffolding to hang (these people don’t have ladders?). Obviously not an experienced electrician. He did charge us $ 500 to put in one electrical outlet and add a dimmer to a light (this took about 20 minutes). We had another electrician come out, he had both chandeliers hung in 2 ½ hours and charged us $ 400. SO mad about Bonfe!

I had Bonfe come for a furnace tune up. Zach H. was there promptly and was very nice. He found some issues with my furnace and was very up front about the options and what he would recommend. He kept apologizing for the bad news but I was appreciative of his honesty. He’s a great technician.

We had a pilot light out on our water heater. We couldn’t get it lighted. Turns out that with the new igniters you need to hold it down longer to allow more gas in the chamber. The technician took 5 minutes to accomplish this. Charge: $ 167.

The tech was nice and friendly and they do nice work but last time they were here they hammered a Bonfe sign in my yard without asking. That’s pretty distasteful if you ask me. I’m not sure how I feel about that situation.

Jason L was prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. He diagnosed our water heater problem, gave us options for repair and replacement, and did the work quickly and thoroughly.
As part of our service, Jason talked with us about moving our Bonfe service plan from Bronze to Silver or Gold; we decided to upgrade to the Silver plan, as we’ve been completely happy with the service from Bonfe’s even before today.

I bought a tune up on Living Social, and it was well worth the $$! Thanks Bonfe! I’m so happy about the cold weather coming… not really, but I know I’ll be toasty warm in my house!
