Abode Gallery is a wonderful destination stop along scenic Hwy 35 aka the Great River Road. Abode is located in a beautiful little village called Stockholm, WI. Stockholm is one of the many historic towns settled along the Mississippi River. It is home to eclectic shops, friendly café’s, quaint B&B’s, a popular area art fair, and picturesque natural areas. From the Twin Cities, Stockholm, is only a little over an hour drive along Wisconsin’s stunning «West Coast». Abode Gallery is a fine surprise offering a collection of furnishings, accessories, lifestyle items, music, books, specialty gifts and fine art. Abode supports local artists! I think that is awesome. Every piece in the Gallery has a story and the collection of art work is top notch. Making the gallery even cooler is that they have a official gallery greeter named Tully. Tully (a lab mix I think), is the sweetest dog! She is great with gallery guests and kids. I look forward to seeing her when I visit the gallery.
Also, before you head into Abode I recommend that you grab a cappuccino from Steve, the owner at Stockholm General next door to Abode. Steve makes the best drinks! Great coffee and amazing art go hand in hand!
