Specialties
At Winslow’s Home, we seek authenticity. Handpicked housewares, garden supplies and groceries mingle with all kinds of curios on the shelves. Prepared foods emerge from the kitchen honest, unhurried. The store’s better half is a farm.
From bamboo dishware to mend-ready thread, Winslow’s Home teems with products that allow the planet to thrive. Whether it’s a bookend, a bike horn a spoon rest, we favor smart design. Chinese finger traps we sell just because. When it comes to food, we adhere to what’s local, healthful and a joy.
Winslow’s Home is a neighborhood destination that offers an alternative to highways, byways and urban anonymity. Expect t hear your footsteps on the lfloor.
History
Established in 2008.
Winslow’s Home brings award winning scratch cooking to Delmar Blvd. in a unique general store atmosphere that invites you to sit back and relax or grab and go with a bottle of wine, a meal and other essentials.
The menu is crafted around fresh, seasonal produce, humanely raised chicken, and grass fed beef that can be seen delivered through the door daily. Because we care where our food comes from, Winslow’s relationships with local farmers and small purveyors are an essential part of what we do, and the open kitchen allows one to see magic being made by chef Tyson long and his talented, hard working staff.
Winslow’s is located 2 blocks west of the Delmar loop a 15 minute walk from the main Washington University campus and downtown Clayton. Come see what all the buzz is about.
Its food your grandmother might recognize!
