Clean and well stocked. When we were in there some younger tweens/kids came in and the Manager asked them where their parents were. When they said they were alone, he asked them to leave. I didn’t see anything«locked up» like prior reviewers said.

It’s a pretty standard walgreens. They’re always stocked. The photo dept is really fast. All of the staff that I’ve met are pretty friendly and helpful. The parking lot is always crowded and although it’s a convenient location, getting in and out is a hassle.

BEWAREOFTHISSTORE!!! If you purchase anything of value from this store, check the box to be sure you are getting what you paid for. I purchased an ATARI flashback 5 from this store because it was only store that still had it in stock. To my horror on Christmas, however I was shocked beyond reality. The person I gave the gift to was puzzled to find that pieces were missing. Now you wonder why I didn’t check the box? My stupid. When I purchased it, it was protected with what they call a spider. Safe, right? Not true. When I returned it to the store for a refund, I couldn’t not get one because someone had tampered with the box before it was spidered. The manager said he could not return my money because a Charter cable router(I did not know this) was put in box in place of the Atari unit and the store policy is that they cannot refund if it is not the original product. He basically told me I was a liar. He said because it wad spidered there was no way it was done at the store. But if the person who spidered the box in the first place, was the one who tampered with the box, does this not mean it was tampered at the store? I fear that one of the store’s employees is stealing by this means. I understand the policy, but I am the one left without the product I paid for. JUSTREMEMBERTOCHECKALLBOXESBEFORELEAVINGTHESTORE!

Love Walgreens, pretty much all the same — but mostly all friendly staff.

I was in the area lunching, and my dining partner needed a few things from«the store with more!» This is a nice, clean store with plenty of parking. It seems new. Because my friend was running the errands, my shopping was wandering around looking at all the«stuff.» And Walgreens sure does have«stuff»!! It’s absolutely amazing how you can find things you NEVER knew you needed. And there it is. .. right there with all the«stuff» at Walgreens! I found Pepsi products 12-packs 4/$ 10, which was a tremendous deal, but you had to have a «card» to get that price. .. whatever that«card» is. There were lots of sales on food products, shampoos and other personal care products — sales all clearly marked! And I found some MiO, Kraft’s new liquid water enhancer, in various flavors. It may just replace the no-calorie powdered drink mix I use. I got black cherry(but that one has caffeine, so watch out!). The clerk was ultra friendly, helping my friend(who was using a cane) get her bags situated in the cart.

I called to get a refill on a precription. the pharmacist asked me how many times per day I needed to take it, which I found odd. I told him 3 times a day(which it has always been). I went to pick it up and it was changed to 2 times a day. The dr’s office said he requested the change. Weird, right? Now the dr’s office and I have both been calling the store all day and no one is answering the phones at all. Pretty ridiculous.

Hardly«in the ghetto». Comments like that that are inaccurate and demonizing serve no purpose. I’d hardly call adjacent to Lafayette Square, where the average residence is upwards of $ 300,000, and to Soulard anything close to a ghetto. The issues with shrinkage are common in many urban areas, I’ve seen it in Chicago in an even more upscale area, for example. This location is clean, well lit, and staff is friendly. Happy to have it handy. It would be great if it were open 24 hours, but that’s ok. Worth our business.

Much less ghetto than it’s made out to be. Very clean and well lit, mix of locals dropping in and passersby. We’ve walked there at night and never felt in harms way. Every item I’ve went for was plexi glass free.

Convenient last minute shopping when needed. This is my «go-to» spot when I forget an item or 2 at other stores. I’ve gone in for snacks, drinks, crafts, medicine, etc. They always seem to have what I need when I need it! Walgreens never disappoints me. The service here is good, I think I am greeted each time I visit and while browsing other staff members say«hello». Friendly service. Thanks. I’ll be back again and again.

KSDK just did a news story on this Walgreens, showing how friendly the staff is. So glad others have noticed what I did over a year ago. The staff here are superstars especially Mae. They should have this staff do the customer service training for all Bi-State Walgreens.

Lisa(from the review below) I totally understand your pain, but at the same time, you have to understand, it’s part of being in the ghetto. As far as staff and service, I’ve always been courteously waited on and have never been in checkout for more than 5 minutes, tops. Has what you need, at a reasonable price.

This place is sketch. They keep half the merchandise locked up behind plexiglass because it gets stolen constantly. Safety precautions are good, but get some attentive employees so I don’t stand there for 15 minutes pressing the«call» button before I can buy body wash. Yes, the body wash is locked up. Also, I tried to get in a 9:59 one night to grab something for my sick boyfriend and they literally closed the doors in my face. As in, manager saw me coming, yelled out and sent an employee running to the doors as I walked up. Thanks, guys. Extra star only because they have a Redbox.
