My wife and I finally got around to checking out this establishment. Our only regret is that we waited so long to do so. I’m a chicken pot pie aficionado and theirs was one of the best I’ve had in some time. Bountiful flaky crust and terrific amounts of chicken and vegetables. My wife got the huge BBQ pork steak and I don’t know if she enjoyed it more or I did when I had the rest of it for lunch the next day. This place is a bit difficult to find but well worth the trouble. Has a very cool neighborhood vibe. We’ll be back

I have cousins that come in to visit from Chicago. Ever since I introduced them to the Piccadilly, this is a must-do on trips to St Louis. No argument from me. The chicken pot pie is what they come for and it never disappoints. This is not a health food restaurant, there is a lot of deep fried on the menu, but now and then, it is fantastic. Recommended.

This place is pretty good. They serve comfort food and smoked beef and have a nice selection. The restaurant itself isn’t huge, it feels intimate and it’s not very loud so you can actually hear the person that you’re having dinner with. Next time we will try their signature wings they sound delicious but we just weren’t that hungry. My husband had the open faced smoked ribeye and it came with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. He said it was delicious, I didn’t try it because I wasn’t in the mood for smoked. I tasted a smashed potatoes, and honestly, I don’t think they were homemade. For sure the brown gravy was not homemade. It was definitely from a mix. I had the chicken pot pie. It was covered in this huge piece of pastry that was somewhere between a biscuit and puffed pastry. I could’ve eaten a 12×18 sheet pan of that! There were very large chunks of chicken inside, they were is big as the large tablespoon that they served with the dish. The cream sauce inside was delightful and some of the best I ever had. There were also carrots and corn and my only complaint is there WAY too many lima beans in there. I mean a crazy amount of lima beans. They need to cut those down to at least a quarter of what they use. We will be going back in the next month I am sure.

Nothing fancy and nothing pretentious about this place. Good, neighborhood restaurant that feels like most of the people in the place know the owners. Typical south side joint that won’t blow you away but makes you want to come back again.

First time visiting on Saturday. Great burger and fries! Homemade ranch dressing was spot on. Terrific neighborhood joint. Clean, friendly with very good food and excellent service and a good beer selection to boot!(No, I’m not one of the owners or family members.) We will definitely be back.

I’m giving Piccadilly four stars for now but depending on the prime rib special they didn’t have– I may change to 5 stars later. Came for the prime rib special my fellow Unilocalers had previously boasted about. They didn’t have the special. So we started with the wings. Very good. Moved to the main course of ribeye and a smoked prime rib sandwich. Both were good. The prime rib sandwich was a bit better. The end was a nice homemade blackberry cobbler with ice cream. I must say, the ending made it all worth while. The cobbler was very good. Very quaint atmosphere, laid back, and full of comfort food. Pretty good experience, although I felt over dressed, but the food was worth the trip.

What was supposed to have been a pan-seared, medium rare ribeye came medium well and had no indication of searing. The flavor was otherwise good, so it’s a shame that it wasn’t well-executed, especially for the price Crispy spinach appetizer was outstanding, and the bite I had of the pork steak special was very smoky and flavorful. Very friendly service, too. Shame about that steak.

What can I say about this place?! I’m in love. This is the most adorable little restaurant you can visit. It’s been family owned for over 3 generations(found that out thanks to friendly staff). The service has always been great when I’ve visited and the food has been over-the-top delicious. Take your S/O if you’re looking to impress them with a cute, quiet street, yummy tasting restaurant. Sit outside of the weather is nice!(I did and she loved it!)

I ate at Piccadilly tonight with 2 other people. We had all been here before but not recently. I ordered the chicken pot pie. It was good. They both ordered the fish sandwich with fries. Neither of them liked it. They both said that there was almost no fish and way too much breading. On our way out of the building we heard another man making the exact same comment. This restaurant used to be packed every night and really extraordinary. They have clearly sacrificed quality for profit.

This restaurant is a wonderful find and really a little gem! Beautiful portions, and the food is very tasty and fulfilling! Fried chicken has a lovely light batter and it is not greasy at all! The short rib pot pie is very flavorful and quite filling with lots of very tender meat, carrots, and potatoes inside! The pot pie crust is flaky and delicious! It was busy throughout our stay in the middle of the afternoon and I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again and try other delectable choices! Great sandwich options, salads, platters and desserts!!!

I came here on my birthday. The service was wonderful the servers said his name was stud muffin. Um no I am not calling you stud muffin but Mrs. K. will. This place when I arrived was not crowded but it soon was packed to the rafters. There was even a group of ladies with a huge table outside on the patio who were a bunco group. I don’t play bunco and they were not playing but they sure knew how to drink, god bless them. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs, beans, and coleslaw. This was $ 23.00 The ribs were smoked and served dry with sauce on the side. This is the new way to serve BBQ in St. Louis since we have the Pappy effect. I prefer my ribs served with sauce on them. Over all I would rate the ribs maybe a 3 on a 5 scale. If you see the picture I took the ribs looked very dark and almost too dry to eat. The baked beans and slaw were top notch. Mrs. K. had the fried chicken. It was an outstanding meal. I was able to sample the chicken and it was 5 stars. Stud muffin told me that all the food is homemade and to try the strawberry cheese cake. Spot on recommendation. Some of the best I have ever tasted and it is served in a bowl not on a plate. I would be happy to return and explore their menu more.

Monthly lunch with friends and former coworkers. So fun to catch up! I got there a little early, and grabbed my Kindle to sit at the table out front to wait for them to arrive. Two employees invited me inside, but I was comfy where I was… they have two ceiling fans there that move just enough air. When my friends arrived, we chose a 4-top near the window. It’s not a large place, but it’s comfy and not too tightly packed. They filled up quickly, and while it’s lively, it’s not obnoxiously loud. They have two TVs, but I was more interested in catching up with my friends. I had the Smoked Prime Rib sandwich, which includes cheese and comes on a Hawaiian roll and some creamy horseradish and fries. I won’t apologize, I love fries and these were great and seasoned well. I ended up devouring the entire sandwich, dipping it into the horsey sauce. Delicious. Friend A had the same sandwich without the bun, and green beans in place of fries.(She’s SO healthful!) She said the green beans are amazing. Friend B had the Open Face Smoked Ribeye Entrée, on bakery bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. She also got one each of the pot pies, chicken and short rib, to go for dinner tonight. The servers in general were very attentive, and our server in particular was fun and absolutely hilarious… but she could tell we were out for a good time. They have a large patio in back which I didn’t notice until we were leaving. I’ll have to make sure to sit out there on a future visit. Extra surprise, we ran into two friends of mine that I haven’t seen in ages, and I got to chat with them for a few minutes as they were leaving. They have lunch there frequently and love the place as well. As busy as they got, we never felt rushed, and frankly, I could eat there every day! I will definitely be back. Oh, it’s also nice to know that they’ll do to-go/carryout orders. I can see stopping in several times a month.

Been here three times and tried three different things. All excellent. First time was fried chicken. Cooked perfectly. Great thin batter, just needed more spicing/salt which I added at the table. Second time was short rib pot pie. Just excellent. Last nite was smoked rib eye open face sandwich. Again perfect. Keep this place a secret

We were visiting STL and I decided we’d go here for dinner because all of the reviews were good, and I needed to find a place where my carnivore husband could get a chunk of meat. The food did not disappoint! Collectively, we had the fried spinach appetizer, a slab of ribs(guess who), meatloaf, and prime rib. My husband loved the ribs, my son loved the meatloaf. I, however, ordered the prime rib meduim, rather than medium rare, and found myself longing for a hint of juiciness to go along with it. They were out of au jus, so I had to go with meatloaf gravy. That was definitely my bad. Lastly, this is the place to go if you want a quiet lovely dinner. I could swear there were less than 10 people under 40 in the place, which was kinda weird. I’m just saying that to say don’t go there if you think you’re gonna turn up. You aren’t.

Yum yum yum! This place is great American comfort food in portions that will be sure to fill your belly. On top of it, the location is so neat! Nestled in a neighborhood, this is truley a hidden gem in St. Louis! Inside is cozy and cute. All the tables have pictures and newspaper clippings from local events. I loved that touch! The food — supremo. I opened the menu and saw nachos on the top and my brother and I knew that had to happen. I would have snapped a pic but I was too busy eating nachos… Topped with baked beans, pulled bbq pork, and banana peppers was enough to win me over — could have been improved by using real cheddar instead of weird cheese product but hey, didn’t stop me. Entrees were delicious. I opted for a salad and subbed chicken for shrimp — excellent choice, it was seasoned and grilled to perfection. Tried a bit of ribs and would have been happy with those too! My brother got the patty melt and wasn’t up for donating a bite but it looked wonderful. His fries were good. Of course we had to round out this feast for desert. Warm berry cobbler a la mode was warm and delicious. Can’t really go wrong here and I can’t wait to come back.

We had finished the a coffee crawl and really needed some food. I checked my handy Unilocal app and it said Piccadilly was the place to eat. Hmmm plenty of open tables, the décor was eye catching and loved the real napkins. It took a bit for the waiter to give us some attention. We had to ask for the wine menu, and I had to ask twice for a glass of water. Finally we were able to order, my friend got the fried chicken with flash fried spinach, another ordered the pulled pork and I got the pasta con broccoli. The spinach arrived quickly, good thing that they added parmesan cheese, because that was all that you could taste. My friend could not eat her coleslaw, it tasted like mayo with cabbage… My friend did like the fried chicken, but the green beans and mashed potatoes were bland and boring. The chicken in my pasta con broccoli had zero taste, and lets say that I had to stop on my way home because something in the sauce did not agree with me. Been there done that, don’t need to do that again…

After having this place on my bookmarks for ages and ages, I finally made it here recently! It’s really a hidden gem, in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It isn’t too far from my house and I can’t wait to go back! There is outdoor seating, indoor, and a heated covered porch. We sat on the porch as it was a chilly day. The only complaint I had was that there were remnants of a fire in the fire pit outside and the smoke permeated the porch, especially when patrons entered through the outside door. I came here with one purpose: the veggie(black bean) burger. Described as a black bean patty served with cheese, peppers and onions and chipotle mayo on a hawaiian roll, it was house made. I ordered mine without the peppers and onions, as I’m not a fan. My husband ordered the patty melt. The food was so delicious! The burger was so flavorful, and the mayo made it a little spicy but added great flavor. The bun was super soft and fresh. I couldn’t stop eating it! The fries that came with were crispy on the outside and also really good, but I left some on my plate as I preferred the burger. Service was good. We got refills several times at the right time and the food came out quickly. My only complaint was that our waiter was standing describing the special to us and stopped mid sentence to greet and have a brief conversation with a couple of regulars who walked in. It was really awkward! He then finished and went to serve them even though we were ready to order. I can tell this place gets a lot of regulars. I hope to become one soon and get that treatment too!

My girlfriend and I have gone for lunch a couple times since my last review. They know their soup. We’ve had the ham and bean soup; and our latest was the clam chowder(a cup for $ 3.99), which included all«normal» clam chowder ingredients, but added was corn. Holy cow. .. was this good. And so filling. Service has always been spectacular and so friendly. The latest entrees were steak sandwich and fish sandwich, and fried chicken again. Can’t get away from that. It’s so tasty. The steak sandwich was good, flavorful, robust amount of meat. Good bun/meat ratio. The fish sandwich was over-fishy(That’s not a bad thing, meaning the fish is outstanding from the bun.) with wonderful accoutrements of lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. Last time we went, we both got fried chicken. It comes with green beans and mashed potatoes. I forgot to ask for no gravy. But. .. it was OK. Green beans were as before. .. with just a bit of crispness to them and well-flavored. The fried chicken was fabulous. I don’t know how they make this, but I want the recipe. Both visits have resulted in hefty to-go vessels for both of us. Man, oh man, is their food glorious!

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner, well actually Chicken Pot Pie. I have to start off this review with a huge thank you to the other Unilocaler’s that brought Piccadilly to my attention, most notably Steve B. I think it was a recent check-in complete with photos of the fried chicken and the mouthwatering mac & cheese made this a top choice on my bookmarks. Now with that out of the way I have to admit that I have been back on numerous occasions, and never had a bad meal. Now my main recommendation here is, get the Chicken Pot Pie. Heading into the winter this entrée is the perfect thing for those cold winter nights. First off this pie is huge, aside from the size the first thing you notice is the incredibly perfectly flaky crust. However once you dive into the steaming hot inside you will discover an incredibly creamy delicious mix of veggies and chicken. Hands down this is one of the best pot pies you can get in Saint Louis. I have tried several other entrees, the chicken is amazing and the Mac & Cheese is very creamy and cheesy, another must. Service here is always great, friendly with very reasonable prices. Seating can be limited inside, however there is also a small enclosed patio for additional seating. A full bar is also available, with 3 – 4 local beers on tap.
