Seliga Shoes

I found Earth Brand shoes here and I absolutely love them! That’s all I wear now. John helped me during my visit and I ended up getting a pair of flats and ankle boots. Love them!

I have shopped at Seliga shoes for several years and have always had great experiences. I’m on my feet all day at work, so having quality, comfortable shoes is important. I especially love their large selection of NAOT shoes. I even liked one pair so much, I special ordered a second pair in a different color the next season. They were great about quick ordering and leaving me a message when they came in.
I was recently prescribed orthotics for foot pain, and they patiently helped me try on several pairs until I found one that worked with my orthotics. When I was questioning because of the price the salesperson even offered an expired coupon to help sweeten the deal.
They carry a full line of Spenco insoles, and suggested a thin one to make my orthotics more comfortable.
Also enjoyed buying cute socks. Give them a visit with their sister store Le Shoes for women’s shoes next door!

The people who work at this store are miserable people. I had a gruff, rude man «help» me and then just walked away and ignored me the rest of the time I was there. My mother returned a pair of slippers she purchased and then overheard the saleswoman around the back corner say «this woman is such a pain in the ass». My poor 73 year old mother was just retuning an unworn pair of slippers and this is how she is treated?! I’ve never been in another store that had such rude employees. It baffles me that this place can stay open. One important note, there was a younger guy working there who was quite nice. They should make him the owner!

Dealt with 3 sales associates today who could not have been more unprofessional — especially to an elderly woman. Store credit was offered instead of refund because of more than 10 days past purchase. However — the shoes were supposed to have been ordered for her two weeks ago because the size they said she should take– one whole size smaller — hurt her feet as soon as she tried them on at home.
The sales associate who sold my mother her shoes yelled at her and became very agitated. Really? That is never acceptable. When the manager FINALLY decided to help us– he said he would give us a refund but had to take off $ 8 for «restocking» — she wore them in her home for less than 15 minutes. Exactly what dies it take to put a box back on a shelf?
We will NEVER return — nor recommend this store.

I love Seliga Shoes having shopped with them for many years for both work shoes and fashion shoes. They have a Pedorthist, «Andrew» on site who is extremely skilled and knowledgeable I have found this to be a plus. Seliga has a wide selection of styles and name brand shoes but recently to my great pleasure they have also added a new shop right next door called Le Shoe which offers a wide range of very stylish and upscale fashion shoes. I highly recommend both Seliga Shoes & LeShoe to everyone !!

I have been a customer of Seliga Shoes for many years. Some things have changed over the years, but there has always been one constant: the quality of shoes and an unparalleled knowledge of the product they sell.
This last time, my 78-​year father and mom visited me from out of the country. I noticed my dad had hard time walking in his shoes. Like many elderly people, he doesn’t like changes so asking him to get a new pair of shoes was not going to be easy. I had to figure out a way to do it so I took him to Seliga Shoes hoping they could help. John Seliga was there greeting us nicely as he always does. I was pretending to be looking for a new shoes for myself and asked John to figure out a way to have my dad try a new pair of shoes. He looked at my father’s shoes and saw how they were worn out. It took him about 10 seconds to bring the shoe he thought was the best choice for my father. Than he used his friendly personality to communicate with my dad and had him try the new shoes on. It was a bull’s eye hit. My father commented himself that he couldn’t believe how much more stabile he was in the new shoes John had picked.
It is really worthy to have a guy like John Seliga who not only knows every little detail about the foot problems and how footwear can remedy them, but also has a way to communicate with his customers to make them feel they have made the right choice by visiting his store. My father still asks about John each time I talk to him.

This is my third purchase from Seliga Shoes. Frankly, I don’t think it’s worth buying a premium shoe from a company that doesnt seem to care about your purchase one way or the other. I’ve used them because I am diabetic and need a specific shoe which is hard to find. My last visit was a disaster, They had to order the shoe I needed. I phoned to see if the shoe had come in and was told it had. I went out on a special trip to get the shoes (which cost $ 200 and were prepaid) and was told the shoes were not in yet. Odd… I had just called. No sorry’s or any show of customer care. So I phoned later and spoke with a man who said he was a Seilga family member. He was abrupt and sounded like he was annoyed by my call. I’m going by the store today for a full cash refund on the shoes as I still don’t have them.(anyone wanna bet that’s not gonna go well…) Mr. Seliga did offer to UPS the shoes to me but I do need them and waiting additional days for the UPS driver really doesn’t make the problem any better. Oh, I found the shoes elsewhere and they were thrilled to take my $ 200.
UPDATE:
I went to get my refund and buy shoes from another store. The owner didnt have enough cash to refund me, altho I had phoned ahead and told him I was coming in. My original purchase was a cash sale, and i specifically asked for the refund to be the same, cash. As I waited for the owner (presumably) to write a check for my never seen shoes, another Seliga family member began screaming at me. The entire store watched as he berated me. This man eventually produced (mysteriously) a cash refund and told me he was giving me four additional dollars. He went on to shout at me and then made obvious homophobic gestures and vocal assaults. He followed me out of the store and i will state that he appeared to be ready to physically hit me. Let’s just say I got my money back and I’d avoid this place. BTW: the shoes cost $ 20 less at the other retailer and I got a $ 15 off coupon for my next purchase.
