We always donate our old clothes here. Everytime we move or go through old things we bring them here and they will give you an itemized receipt that you can claim for taxes. A worthy cause.

Although I enjoy shopping at both ScholarShop locations, I definitely prefer the one in Webster Groves. It never seems to be quite as busy as the one in Clayton, and finding a parking spot here rarely is an issue. The main drawback is that this location is a bit smaller than its companion store.
ScholarShop first opened in 1960 and is operated by The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. Proceeds from the store help fund the fee-​free and interest-​free loans awarded by The Foundation to area students for use toward higher education.
Inside you’ll find gently used clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories. This location has clothing for children and men, but the majority of the clothing here is for women. High-​end clothing has a section all to itself.
Prices can be high, but I’ve made many good purchases here. I’ve also seen lots of things I wanted that were either too big or too small for me. Bummer!
Things to keep in mind:
1. You won’t pay sales tax. Want that $ 15 dress? Hand over a Lincoln and a Hamilton.
2. Sign up for their rewards program. You earn one point for every $ 2 you spend. When you reach 100 points, you get $ 10 toward your next purchase.
I just reached my first $ 10 reward, and my first thought was, «Whoa, have I actually spent $ 200 here?» No, I believe they started me out at 50 points when I signed up. That means I’ve only – only – spent $ 100 here. I think I have a problem.

This place usually has name brand clothing that’s in great condition. And half the store is dedicated to really expensive name brands — beautiful evening gowns and formal-​wear. The prices are definitely higher than Goodwill, but you can find much nicer stuff. There’s usually some kind of sale or special discount going on. I think you can sign up for their emails to find out more. They also offer a rewards program — you just give them your phone number, they keep track of how much you spend and eventually you get some money off.

Went to the 75% off sale today and it was very nice. Good selection, good prices and very friendly staff. MUCH BETTER than the Clayton store!

Always look through the jewelry case! Sterling silver, Brighton, and gorgeous rings with tiny price tags.
Not quite as discerning as other resale stores about what they will accept; so some rack rummaging will be required.
Staff always greets me and I love their new points reward system. They have a 75% off rack with decent items on it– not just the flotsam and jetsam that usually ends up on the big sale.

I hesitate to review this place, b/​c I think it’s a secret, but it’s for a good cause, so what the heck. Man! This location is so much better than the Clayton location. Not picked over, clean and not crowded. I never leave without a big load of stuff I don’t need.

Scholarshop is a charitable organization that resells donated secondhand clothes and accessories to support their mission. It smells like old stuff and it can be pricey for secondhand clothing, but the men and women’s brands are high end and they are picky about what they put out on the racks. It’s especially popular for business and formal attire. This location is smaller and has more limited stock than the Richmond Heights store, but it is still worth stopping by.

I thought I was going to be blown away by this place. It is your typical re-​sale shop. You have to dig and dig and dig before you find one thing and it is still al ittle pricey for a resale shop.
