This is not what I was expecting out of a salvage yard. Walking in through the front door, the place was so clean you can smell it. There is a map of the yard so you know where to find the cars you are looking for easily. I was pleasantly surprised!

I found what I wanted but got pretty dirty in the process! They have a tonne of cars around so you’ll definitely find your make/model to rip apart. I like how casual it is. Definitely bring gloves and wear some boots, it can be muddy out in the smash-zone. As a junkyard virgin the staff were helpful in explaining how the whole shenanigans work. Come prepared with a wicked tool kit though, and include WD-40. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, rust buckets need a lil lovin.

First, it costs one dollar to get in. This is very important. If you don’t have a dollar you have to go home and get a dollar. Once you have your dollar go back and gain admission to a large array of vehicles. I went looking for random small parts for my 87BMW. I found everything I needed except floor mats. Don’t go here for floor mats. …Or BMW badges.

I am reviewing a junk yard AND giving it 5 stars? YUP. My adventures with Pick-n-Pull all began when I inherited a 1992 Honda Civic from my grandparents which I gave the name«Max.» Now Max was a cute little car with many random problems, one of them being a broken windshield wiper switch that my grandparents was held in place by a strategic piece of cardboard. Since I had no car at the time I gratetfully accepted Max and started working on fixing the main issues. Pick-n-Pull was perfect for finding all of the random little parts that I needed to fix up my car and although it is a junk yard the whole process was SO ridiculously efficient. Basically you walk around the rows of cars, find the parts you want/need, take them inside to the cashier and they tell you how much they want for them. My favorite find was a new windshield wiper switch for $ 12. Took it home and the boy had it replaced in 10 minutes. This was a repair that my grandma was quoted over $ 300 to get fixed and because of Pick-N-Pull it cost me $ 12. Now fast forward to present day and 60k miles later. Now poor Max the Honda had a pretty bad exhaust leak and the transmission went out, I decided it was about time I let him retire and get a new car. That left me with the predicament of what to DO with poor, retired Max because I was pretty certain my neighbors didn’t really want a car just sitting in one place on the street. I went online and decided to get a quote from Pick-N-Pull«just to see.» Since my last property tax assessment valued the car at $ 200 and there were so many problems I really wasn’t expecting much just wanted to find the car a new home. I was able to submit everything online and they got back to me in less than a day with two rates, one rate for if I could deliver the car to them and a 2nd rate(of $ 40 less) if I needed them to tow it away. I looked at both rates about 20 bazillion times because I was just SHOCKED at what they were willing to offer me for poor retired Max with the exhaust leak, no air conditioning and bad transmission. Since the car wasn’t drivable anymore I went with the tow option and a 5 minute phone call later the deal was done. The tow driver called a day later to arrange a pick up time and by the end of the week the driver was there to pick up the car with my check and all the paperwork in hand. By far an easier(and more lucrative) transaction than I ever thought possible. I couldn’t watch as they towed poor Max away but I was so happy that Pick-N-Pull was such an efficient, reliable, trustworthy option for me.
