History
Established in 1994.
We opened Jimmy’s in December 1994, in a building that had been a grocery store serving the DeMun neighborhood for over fifty years. A continuous work in progress, the caricatures that line the Café walls were penned by local artist Todd Bauman and feature the faces of local celebrities and faithful clientele that frequent the restaurant, for without them we do not exist. Our private party room is the perfect place for that special occasion or private meeting, accommodating up to fifty guests.
Artifacts gathered by partner Rick Yackey were used to achieve an eclectic design in the Bistro/Bar, opened in 2002. The twenty-foot red granite bar features overhead door parts, industrial springs as arm rests and train track as a footrail. An eighty-year old maple floor is from a downtown warehouse and is accented with marble inlays from the old City Hospital building. Overstuffed barstools and banquettes with two fireplaces create an inviting place for a great meal or cocktail.
