Don’t expect this to be like your basic pizza place. This is St. Louis style pizza. Thin crust. Provelone cheese. Maybe it’s not your kind of pizza. I love it. Everytime we come to St. Louis we will get a pizza or two from Imo’s. It’s a must.

I didn’t realize all the pizza would be super thin crust. It felt more like I was eating a snack than an actual meal. When walking in, some strangers were telling us how good the pizza was but when we got our order of pepperoni pizza, I was pretty disappointed. It just tasted like a bland piece of cracker with some cheese and minimal meat pieces sprinkled on top. That’s pretty much all it seemed like to me. The cheese is pretty filling itself though but it feels so unsatisfying. I guess it was worth the experience but on the off chance I’m ever in town again, I most definitely would not be stopping by here again.

Gotta love uniqueness of American cities and Emos is a must if you’re in St. Louis. Literally a sweet sauce and glad I tried it, along with the Provo bites. All the best to their establishment.

Be prepared for something a bit different… and the difference is mostly the Provel cheese they use — not mozzarella. Provel gives the pizza a creamy texture — not a stingy texture mozzarella does. Thin crust is great and ingredients are generous. I found the service friendly and helpful. I would go back.

Here’s the deal — this is St. Louis style pizza it is its own thing. If your thinking it’s gonna be a more traditional pizza it’s not. Do some homework and you’ll see on their website they don’t use yeast in their dough and they use a processed cheese called Provel(a cheese popular in the area). I was visiting the area read the reviews and the bad ones were a little intimidating, but I love pizza. New York style, Chicago style, brick oven, wood oven, I could go on but you get my point I like it all so I figured I gotta give it a try. I am happy I did it was really good. I got the meat lovers and Otha’s really quality ingredients real bacon strips, real chunks of ham, ground sausage and so forth these were not frozen processed toppings you normally get. The crust was crunchy, the sauce was good too. I liked the cheese as well.

Was ok, not bad not great. Just ok. May set expectations to high. Heard so many peeps so that I had to try it if I came here. Not blown away! Not enough chz for my liking. I had the meat lovers it was decent. Not saying it was bad at all, I ate the whole thing. My girl had the much special which was a pretty good deal. She had chz pizza with olives, liked mine a lot more. Hers seemed bland to me.

This is in Hilton at the Ballpark. The pizza was okay at best. Honestly, I’ve had better frozen pizzas. The service was not great, but not so sure it was the server’s fault, possibly error in scheduling. We sat ourselves. Waited over 15 minutes with no one acknowledging us so asked the hostess for a menu. Waited another 10 minutes or more before seeing serving staff and had to ask for someone to take our order. He was very willing to take our order and then told us he would try his best with our request as the kitchen was really backed up and slammed right now. Our pizza came out over 20 minutes later and like I said, nothing to write home about. I think the main problem here was staffing, or lack thereof, of serving staff. You are Hilton ATTHEBALLPARK. When there are games, staff accordingly! One person should not have to serve a full restaurant.

We got a couple of cheese pizzas. Extremely thin. Like cheese on a cracker. They say the cheese is a mix of Swiss provolone and mozzarella, but it tastes like velveeta. Plates are plastic and cups for water. The eating space was nice and comfortable, but this is probably the worst pizza I have ever eaten. We gave our extra pizza to a homeless guy in the park. Caesar salad was ok. Cannoli had little flavor. Tax rate over 11%.

Normally, I am a big Imo’s pizza fan. This particular location, however, almost ruined Imo’s for me entirely. The pizza itself is great, but I don’t think I have ever had poorer service from a eatery like this. I convinced my wife to try Imo’s with me after assuring her that it is some of the best pizza around. I don’t know if it was a long day, a busy night, or simply an extreme case of workplace apathy, but the man behind the register was definitely not on his A-game. When asked questions, all of his answers were evasive and non descriptive. He seemed like he hated his job and our very presence caused him physical harm. Very unhelpful and flat out misleading. To top it all off, when attempting to get a to-go box I stood for several minutes while he made what I can only describe as a conscious effort to ignore me. He fiddled with things behind the counter, glanced at a few receipts, and even turned around and disappeared into the kitchen while I remained standing at the front counter. My wife ended up just walking into the kitchen and asked for a box. Although that was funny, she should not have had to do that. TLDR; Good pizza, poor service.

VERY disappointing– $ 50 worth of pizza together weighed less than a pound. If there were 8 thin pieces of pepperoni on the large I’d be surprised. Rip off. This in the Hilton by the ballpark, so if you have to have it close, go to Calicos. If you have time go to Pi over by the football dome. My last Imo’s.

The worst. I love the pizza but the service is always bad. We ordered a pizza for delivery last night and waited an hour and a half, we had not seen our order or got a phone call, so we called the store and no one answered. They charged my card and just never showed up, no phone call, nothing. We didn’t even order online, we called the store and talked to the guy. Just be weary, if you order from this place they may just decide not to show up.

Good place to eat. Love the thin crust. Very good taste. You really get all of the flavor with these gems. I will eat here again. Definitely worth the stop.

From out of town so had a pizza and the toasted ravioli delivered to my hotel. Driver called letting me know he was 5 minutes out. Pizza didn’t take longer than 30 minutes and was still hot and very tasty by the time I got it.

Oh Thank GOD! 5 Stars people, 5 Stars!!! I have actually been fearing my first real experience with a fresh St Louis Style pizza as with all the lesser than great reviews I was actually concerned about harming my credibility with my friends as I have become an earned authority on food(including Unilocal). I didn’t want to have to stretch the truth while trying to keep peace with the natives. I DON’T HAVETO!(Huge Sigh of relief!) St Louis has some(excuse my French) Fucking bad ass pizza. Who knew? I did not and never expected it. The IMO’S pizza we just ate was bad ass. Thin crust slightly sweeter than NYC or Chicago style with a crunch and this cheese that just resonates and it is primary. It’s like a smoked gouda or provolone(not mozzarella). Just look at the photos of what we just ate. The cheese was like… Sinister delicious when bubbling hot on the thin bread. Yeah. I mean YEAH! HELLYEAH! How could no one realize that St Louis Pizza is a National Treasure? LOL! Seriously though. If there are people that do not care for Imo’s I can suggest two things you might be doing wrong. 1) Ordering delivery. By the time a delicate cheese based masterpiece like this is delivered to you(cause you are lazy) it’s not going to be like it was right out of the oven. 2) Ordering take out. Again: By the time a delicate cheese based masterpiece like this is delivered to you(cause you are lazy) it’s not going to be like it was right out of the oven. Today, May 19th2015 the year of well, whatever it’s supposed to be — I tried real St Louis Pizza since the early 60’s when my parents met. St Louis Pizza is a true American culinary masterpiece which is focused on a delicate thin crust and a cheese that isn’t national as far as I can tell. I LOVEIT!(Tossing a wide hand swept kiss to St Louis) Thank you!

The staff wasn’t too interested in helping customers, instead focused on the TV in the lobby, flirting with each other and just standing around. I found the food to be ok, not great, not terrible. I’ll round up from the 1.5 I give them.

I’d do a different location if you want to try Imos, this one was in the Hilton. Nice seating, and very distinct pizza. My 12 and 9 year old loved it, but said they’d like to go back to «regular» pizza next time. 12 year old liked less sauce in St Louis style pizza. I liked it too, but more as a change of pace. I do like the thin crispy crust a lot. Don’t think I could eat this cheese all of the time. Toasted ravioli was good as well, one of those things I can’t get here in Wisconsin. Pop machine didn’t work, so we had to get 20 oz drinks. Service was fast and friendly, liked my experience there. Seating was nice and chairs comfortable for a pizza place. A little expensive.

This particular location isn’t the best but the pizza was still hot and delicious. We ordered a Deluxe to go and take back to our room, along with toasted ravioli. There were all kinds of people just milling around outside and in the restaurant, I am guessing because it’s attached to a hotel, they just seemed like riff raff. The pizza was everything Imo’s is famous for, I love it and wish we could get this in Texas… the toasted ravioli however, was horrid and I could barely swallow it. Now I can eat some poor quality food and still enjoy it… but not this — they went straight in the garbage, very dry and absolutely no flavor. I would choose a different Imo’s location if possible — but if you’re staying downtown and this within walking distance — getting a pie to go is ok.

I’m going to have to disagree with the majority of past reviewers of this place. I love Imo’s pizza: the ultra thin crust, the sweet tangy sauce, the large portions of toppings… I wish the nearest location wasn’t an 8-hour drive from my house. The staff at this location were friendly. Our meal was served quickly despite it being busy(thanks to the double whammy of a baseball game and a hockey game going on). The facilities were clean. My only complaint is that you’ve got to go on a long trek tithe bathroom, which involves going through a swanky restaurant/bar and into the Hilton hotel next door.

Is this the best pizza ever? Depending on your tastes, yes it can be. If you’re not from Stl and you’ve never tasted pizza with a sweet taste then yes, I can see where it would be different from your expectations. But the person saying«this is terrible pizza»? Idiot. «Pizza Hut and Dominoes are better?» Must have sniffed the same glue as the first Unilocaler. That may be too much… possibly just dropped on their heads as infants too often. Look, if something is different than you are used to that doesn’t make it bad. To give a place one or two stars and scare people away is the sniffing glue effect. Thanks for reading and keeping open minds
