I have been to Dapper Gents twice, both times I’ve had Kaile trim my beard. She’s the best, I would highly recommend her for any service. I will be coming back to Dapper Gents for all my beard grooming needs. Thanks again for the fresh look see you against a few weeks dapper gents and Kaile.

I’ve never been a fan of haircuts and usually when I go and get one I expect the worst. This was NOT the case today!
Kaile cut my hair and was an absolute master. She knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair and was very easy to talk with and to.
I just moved here and I’m glad to say I have a hair stylist now.

I’ve been coming here for my haircuts whenever I’m in town for about the last year. I was looking to start wearing my hair in a «hipper» fashion, and Dapper Gents was just the place to help me do it. While their rate might be a bit above what you’re used to paying for a haircut, it’s worth every penny in this case.
I’ve typically seen Katie (though, thanks to hasty appointment scheduling, I’ve seen Kaylie once); both of them have done excellent jobs every time I’ve gone in. They keep files on your appointments so you can keep track of what you like and don’t like; something that I appreciate as I attempt to figure out exactly what hairstyle I want long term.
The ambiance of the place is very nice. Manly without feeling macho or insecure. They have a wide array of high end grooming products and mens fashion. I haven’t bought anything from them, but they seem to have pretty decent brands in stock. My one idea is that they could use a bit more choice in pomades (they carry Uppercut, which isn’t really very popular amongst those serious about their pomade choice).

This place is awesome. Bre always treats me well and has me leaving looking great! Also, I always enjoy the shop banter between customers and hairstylist. If you are questioning going here because of the price just remember the old saying, you get what you pay for.

Love this place! Friendly staff and very easy to schedule appointment either online or over the phone. Hillary is the BEST Barber in town!!! Taylor is awesome! Bri is a badass! If you ever in need of a cut, shave, fade, or hard part, check them out!

Best place to get a haircut in STL and surrounding cities, bar none! I’ve tried more than 10 businesses and have finally landed at home. This place is amazing. Great location, great atmosphere, awesome clothing and accessories, and a ridiculously amazing staff. They have quick and easy online booking with a vast amount of openings and times available. Bre is the stylist that I see and she is great. I gave her a very vague idea of what I wanted, cause I simply didn’t know, and somehow she turned it into exactly what I wanted. The rest of the staff is exceedingly friendly and everyone not only is great at what they do, but they look good doing it. If prices for the services or products are out of your league, go to Great Clips and get their services and their products. At Dapper Gents, just like Great Clips, you get what you pay for. I have never experienced a time where I was not engaged by the staff or felt at home. They offer you drinks of your choice while you wait (if you even have to wait) and offer drinks throughout the time you are there. I have personally seen the stylists work within tight schedules and make up time to get everyone back on pace. This place is doing it right from A-​Z. You would be extremely foolish to not give this establishment a try, and even more dense to not enjoy your experience.
One of the things I’ve learned about this Unilocal thing is that most of the time people only use it to complain about things that are a non-​complaint in most people’s minds. When reading reviews, please do your research on those who write the reviews.

I showed up early for my very first appointment. I had seen the positive reviews, so I didn’t initially have any reason to think this would be a negative experience. I filled out the paperwork and waited until my appointment time. The stylist staff seems to be made up of college aged girls. I’m talking early to mid 20s. They were all very chatty with each other and seemed to move at a snail’s pace. About 15 minutes past my appointment time, I started to feel as though I were being ignored. I had seen other customers served, and then the stylists lingering behind the counter or walking around but not looking like they were getting ready to serve the next client. The stylists walked past me several times never making eye contact even saying hello. So, I told the young woman at the counter that I had waited long enough and that I did not want to see a charge on my credit card for canceling the appointment since I had shown up early. She didn’t apologize, she didn’t give a reason for the delay, she didn’t really seem to care. All she said was OK. For a place that charges nearly $ 70 for a haircut and beard trim, I expected a much better customer experience.

The store is really laid out well and has some interesting stuff. Razors are very expensive, upwards of $ 100.00+.
Three female staff members all talking socially to one guy. The other customers in the shop evidentially left to their own devices. Never did get an explanation on why the razors were so expensive. They came from London, so maybe that’s why. Staff needs to engage their customers.

I am from out of town and needed a place I could trust. I was walking around town from my hotel checking out the local scene and came across this place. After reviewing their Unilocal status I decided to give them a shot. Glad I did! Service was amazing, everyone was extremely friendly. Katie helped me out and did a great job. I wish my hometown of San Antonio had a place like this. Great cut, neck shave, head massage, shoulder massage and funny conversation. If I’m ever back I’ll definitely go again! Be prepared to spend some $$$, but extremely worth it. Thanks Katie!

If your looking for the best haircut around with great service and a comfortable environment dapper gents is the place to be! Ive became a regular here and will continue to be! The haircut is $ 40 but trust me the haircut its self is worth it. Breanne cuts my hair and I am 100% beyond satisfied every time! She is very nice and a well rounded stylist. I would extremely recommend!!!

This is one of the best reasons to move to Saint Louis.
More specifically, Hilary, or «Hill,» is one of the best reasons to move to Saint Louis.
Born and raised in Asia, I have lived all over the US including San Fran, city of Angels, «Mistake by the Lake,» and of course Saint Louis. For many years I just resigned myself to the idea that the best haircut I would ever get would be back in the motherland in Asia; and I don’t have that kind of money to fly back just for a haircut. I could never find a consistent stylist who could deliver, partly because Asian hair isn’t easy to do.
Hilary exceeded expectations; EVERY time.
This isn’t your $ 15 haircut. It’s worth much more than what they charge, also, because they’re all really nice people and really care about their work.
Don’t waste your time. Treat yourself. It’s worth every penny.
PS: Seriously. Because of Hilary, I’m considering finding ways to fly back to Saint Louis, just to get my hair done by her every few months.
PPS: Hill, if you’re reading this, thank you, thank you, thank you. You’ll have to let me know if you ever move.

This expirience in my life was so wonderful I had to write a review. The second you walk in you are greeted and offered a drink. Then your barber comes and gets you and shows you to the seat. Upon the wonderful cut these barbers are great to talk to and only want to please you. After the best cut of your life in this grooming lounge I never wanted to leave!!!

To call Dapper Gents a barbershop is an insult, they are just what they say a grooming lounge. Upon arriving you are greeted by hellos and smiling faces, there’s a plush leather sofa in the seating area and you are offered you choice of drink while you wait.
I personally go to Darrell and he has to be one of if not the best barber in Saint Louis, I have trusted him with the care of my beard and from grooming tips to razor sharp edging he provides is second to known.
They also carry every product a true gentleman could want in addition to clothing, shoe shining services and custom clothing measuring. Treat yourself and make an appointment at Dapper Gents to take you grooming game to the next level!

I finally found MY place! Dapper Gents is more than just a place to get a haircut. They provide several male salon services that will make even non-​executives feel like a king. They’re very professional and engaging conversationalists. They also have many manly apparel, products and accessories.

Very nice décor and friendly staff. I was a walk-​in and they had me in the chair within 15 minutes. I decided to try a shave and cut. Both were fantastic and I’m impressed with the results. If I lived in STL I would make this a regular haunt for sure — certainly recommend.

I just left Dapper Gents and because of the excellent service I received there I felt compelled to leave a review. I was extremely happy with my straight razor shave. The skill level of my barber was immediately clear. He did a fantastic job! Everyone was very friendly and inviting. I will be back! Thank you.

This place is as good as it gets! The large space is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is great! Today was my first time here. And as soon as I walked through the door, I was offered a beverage. My hair was cut by Hillary. If I remember correctly, she told me that she has 5 years of experience under her belt. She does a fantastic job in making sure you get what you pay for.
Hillary took her time when cutting my hair while also asking me questions on what I wanted. When I wasn’t sure, she gave advice on what she thought would look best. I find it appealing that they keep notes on how they cut your hair. I find that to be helpful, because I’m positive that whenever I return, they will know exactly what I want. After the cut, she laid a towel on my eyes, rinsed my hair out, and took out the straight razor to clean up the fine details. And after that, there was even a short complimentary shoulder massage!
I really enjoy this barbershop and I’m sure this is the place that I am going to come back to, time after time. The quality of their workmanship is amazing, and everything about the place screams «Dapper.»
I must also point out that this isn’t just a barber shop. They also sell clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as shaving supplies (shaving cream, straight razors, safety razors), and grooming supplies! I can’t wait to come back and see their selection as well as get my shoes shined!
I really recommend this place! If you can spare $ 39.00 for a tailored haircut, do it. If you think it’s too expensive, do it anyway. You won’t be disappointed! I promise!

This place is incredible unlike any other barbershop I have been to. The space is magnificent and the products are top notch. I have never seen this much class and sophistication in one place. The hot towel shaves are incredible and you literally don’t want to get out of the chair when it’s time to. This place is the one stop shop for any man looking to get cleaned up, cuts, shaves, grooming products, menswear, shoe shines and to top it off complimentary beverages.

Living in the city there are so many small businesses to explore. While walking down Washington Ave. one night with my fiancé I happen to notice a new place open. Curious, we went inside. Earlier that day we had tried to make an appointment at Blades to get my fiancés hair cut but had no openings so, we were pleasantly surprised to find out this little gem was a barber shop. A woman named Hillary cut his hair and did an amazing job, best hair cut he has gotten since we moved here. They also had appetizers and drinks which was nice. They also sell some men’s clothing. I highly recommend checking them out
