Horrible service. He came to our table and he looked like he did not want to be here. Left empty drinks on table, refilling them one time. Gave us the check while we were eating and nowhere finished and he didn’t even ask if we needed anything else before giving us the check! We ordered food to take home and it comes out on a plate, I told them it was to go so instead of giving us a box he takes food and takes 15 mins to box it! No tip for this service. Terrible. Will not come back. He wasn’t even friendly.

Yeah not so much happening at this location besides hot lettuce that’s rotting and cold customer service from the waiters. Poorly run location even after the moved no improvement. Thankfully there are tons of other locations to go to!

I’ve had two of the best servers ever at this Applebee’s! Erin and Jess are very good at what they do. I feel welcome and like my needs matter to them and they always make sure that the food is right! Even if I have very weird requests, or drink an unhealthy amount of diet mountain dew :)

Worst hamburger ever! The fries were hard and crispy not to my liking and they charged for the fries and it was unlimited!!! And they never refilled my water glass By the way this is not uptown or even close maybe those folks have been drinking… the floor was dirty and the gal could not sweep up carpet very good,

While I have long been a fan of Applebee’s for a fast and easy, reasonable sit down restaurant, this evening was very unappealing. Staff were uninviting. Service was undesirable.

This is an overall experience in all the years we’ve ever been to this place(about 6 years). But our most recent experience was superb! We haven’t had great service from there in a long time. We were just there Saturday evening and Victoria D.(from what it says on the receipt) was beyond helpful and was so attentive and good at what she did. She deserves a raise or needs to be moved to a supervisor or something. Not sure why other employees aren’t as good especially when we never ask for anything besides ordering a beverage and our food. We get waited on, our food takes forever to come and we never see our waitress/waiter again until the end. This place USED to be SOOO good with service. It was our favorite place to come to. We would come twice a week if possible and then we started seeing new employees. With new employees, the service just sucked. Who was training these new employees? Do they not have customer skills to teach or pass onto new employees? Our food would take forever. Other people who came after would get their food before we did and we never even once got our appetizers(and a few times, it was just a salad also). It quickly went downhill. After a complaint online many years ago, we stopped going there for over a year and a half. We decided to try it out again after such a long break and still, service wasn’t good. Still lacking customer service. We came by a few more times after throughout a couple years. Again, it was still just okay. About a month ago, my wife and I stopped by after an event. We were starving and wanted to go to a sit down place and eat. We knew the only place that was open was Applebee’s. Applebee’s is our last resort and sometimes not even given the service, but we decided to drop by anyways. It was about 10:50 pm. Two girls had walked in there before we did and right away, this younger guy(possibly the supervisor since he wore a button down light blue shirt) came up to them and said, I’m sorry but the kitchen is closed right now but drinks are still available so if you’d like to stay for drinks, you can. As soon as we heard that, we were so annoyed and beyond disappointed. The kitchen isn’t supposed to close until midnight. We always make sure we check the time online before going somewhere especially this late at night. There were more than plenty of people in the restaurant who would still order food. We were starving! We ended up settling for Taco Bell instead since it was on the way home. As nice as the place looks with the new update, service still isn’t what it used to be and it’s sad. We love the food but we refuse to come because of service. We only stopped by last week because a friend of ours wanted to eat there and they’re regulars as well like how we once used to be even though they know the service isn’t up to par there. It’s just that it’s the closest place to them. We want to love this place again but it seems to fail us time and time again. We have gone to other Applebee’s though and no complaints elsewhere.

This is my neighborhood burger and onion rings favorite.?the new menu shows some focus on healthy eating. The appetizer menu is very nice now. Staying open later than the places near me that roll up the streets at 9 or 10 is an asset and appreciated by this night owl.

I hated Applebees’s. Hated now I love it but only during happy hour ½ off apps and drinks(I love to drink shhh) I used to hate the Applebee’s just seem so bland so boring so blah! Now well atleast the one in St Louis Park has improved so much. They got this tablet thing on the table where you can call your waiter over play games(.99 cents tho) and pay instead of waiting for your waiter its cool. The food tho is bomb well everytime I go its on point! im telling ya they redid themselves. Also the drinks when happy hour start I go at 9pm its a decent price and I swear the bar tender either thinks I am a drunk or they just do there drinks strong now lol. Like yesterday I ordered a margarita and by the 3rd glass I was a lil dizzy while I was just sitting down for only $ 4 they bring you the whole margarita silver cup not just that whippy glass it got me like 4 glasses out of it! so for $ 4 so lets see I ordered 1 margarita(got 4 glasses out of it) and wonton tacos my partner has a Corona and Boneless wings and our bill was $ 23 and we was pretty full oh and me got buzzed I think it was a good day at the Applebees.

After our practice a group of friends decided to go to Applebee’s. Like always. Which I wasn’t that pleased to begin with. You are so close to Uptown and plenty of restaurants that you can go and check out for the first time. But anyways, we decided to come here. It was late so we made it just im time for happy hour. There was no line in front of us, but the greater thought that it was necessary for them to have us wait 15 minutes so they could set up a table for 7 ppl… Smh. After the server came she ask us for the drinks and we waited another while before she brought those out, and I had to remind her, literally, three times before she brought my water out. After we ordered from the new menus, she only told us that the old appetizer specials were still up for grabs. And she brought the appetizer menus after we put our order in. The food in general was alright that’s why I put the two stars, but the noisy atmosphere at a family bar and Grill with the crappy service ruined it all for me.

Don’t waste your time or money at this restaurant! My wife and I were very disappointed by poor customer service, wait staff unfamiliar with the menu, defensive female manager, cold food and long wait times even at 4pm on a Monday. A noticeable lack of enthusiasm by all staff. I’m new in town. I’ve since asked co workers and neighbors, all of whom had disappointing experiences at this location and will not return. I wonder how long they’ll stay in business with so many shortcomings.

First time at this location and I must say I was very offended from the service interaction I had. I came in sat down at the bar and the lady looked at me like I was crazy. She(Kim) asked me if I wanted to see a menu and I told her I knew what I wanted. She immediately gave me my receipt as a to go order and walked away. When I finally got her attention again I mentioned to her that I didn’t want food to go and she gave me another crazy look. I’m not sure if she assumed I wasn’t ordering drinks and I couldn’t sit at the bar unless I was doing so but after that I didn’t even want her to make me anything. I don’t think she meant to be offensive intentionally but she sure did a bad job at hiding the fact she didn’t want me sitting at the bar.

Have gone to the previous and new location countless times. Today we ordered an appetizer and each if us a salad(two of us). The appetizer looked burned but hubby liked it ok. I ordered the new Thai Shrimp salad and it was totally missing two ingredients! I thought that I misread the menu but checked it on the way out and sure enough they missed the almonds and edamme. When the waitress brought our appetizer, she set it right in front of my husband when we were playing a hand of cards, no «Excuse me» or «Where would you like me to put this»? Later, she put the check on the table and never asked if we needed anything else. Also, she had a huge arm full if dishes, stacked ours on top and the dirty silverware fell on the table and so did bits of food. She never said a word just walked off with what she had. So disappiinted, we have come here once a week or more for years.

My wife and I were out for a rare Monday night meal and I had a $ 25 gift card from my sister from Christmas about 4 years ago that we decided I should finally use up. We were in Hopkins and decided to go to the Applebees in the strip mall up there. It looks like they are renovating the mall, which needed renovating about 10 years. There was lots of construction, but I hope it gets a much needed face lift. The Applebees was fairly small compared to some I have been to, but we were seated in a high top at the bar and I noticed $ 5 pitchers of domestic beers. «1 pitcher of Pabst Blue Ribbon please!» Our server was a super nice guy and seemed genuinely interested in making sure all our needs were met and made some nice small talk about our Fit Bits we were both wearing. Really nice guy. I am watching the calories, so I ordered the Thai shrimp peanut salad, which was on the 550 calories or less menu. It was really good! Lots of medium sized shrimp with a pleasant peanut sauce and a few crunchy wontons. Lots of food for 380 calories for about $ 10. Not too shabby! There is an older clientele here, probably due to some senior living housing around the place, but it was bright with lots of TVs lining the bar. Great beer special on Monday, wonderful salad, cool server, for a chain restaurant, this was a 4 star experience.

Went there tonight and it was one of the most unimpressive visit I’ve had to any restaurant on quite some time. The bartender was all over the place, yelled across the bar even asking for our order, didn’t offer its menus-food or drink specials, we had to walk around the bar to get them. I’ve never thought very highly of Applebee’s but tonight was exceptionally poor.

I have given this place a couple of tries. The staff is friendly but is low-class clientele. If you want to spend your dinner listening to LOUD foul-mouthed drunks this might be the place for you. Lots of locals who think that all words begin with F. Food is typical Applebee’s, but I would avoid.

I love this place. It is my favorite restaurant. The bacon cheddar cheeseburger was okay. The bacon was a little over cooked and didn’t taste that great. I probably won’t get that item again. The chicken Parmesan stack is a little spicy but it has a great combination of chicken, peppers, pasta and sauce. I recommend either of these dishes but what ever you are craving is good.

On my way to this eating establishment(or should I say WAITING establishment) I read a review mentioning the incredible wait times for dinner. I was not really ready to take hours to eat but maybe my experience will be different? Oh boy, was I ever wrong! First off, this location is in a mall, not just any mall, but Knowllwood mall. This has never really been the place of choice for shopping, but I thought maybe 15 years had changed it. It has changed, but not all that much. There are stores present, but not a whole lot of people. The largest population group seemed to be retirees which is funny since they also represented half of our party of 10! I also think this was related to the retirement complex across the street. Our visit was on the last Saturday before Christmas and they had a «craft show» going on. It might as well have been the first day of Summer for the lack of people in that mall, not to mention the restaurant. Our waiter was interesting. He would ask us if we needed anything and then proceed to bring something else entirely. One person in our party ended up with three glasses of diet cola which only further crowded our terribly full and inadequate table. Once we ordered, food came out to the table three different times by three different runners, none of which were our waiter. We asked each one for both silverware(we were missing two sets) and apple juice for our youngest member. When our waiter finally made it back to check on us, our youngest was about to throw a fit and one was eating with a knife because she could not wait. The other was using her hands since she had a salad and was also very hungry. While we were there, another guest was having a birthday lunch for her 85th which was cute. If the only fun that woman has on her birthday was the birthday song the staff sang, she will be depressed for the rest of her life. It is was dismal to say the least. Bottom line: I concur with others, this is the worst Applebees I have ever been to. Service is slow and lackluster. The overall experience was depressing and made our holiday lunch together less than memorable. I wish I could have those 2 ½ hours back and do them again somewhere fun.

This Applebee’s is the worst I’ve been to. The service has always been slow. Hosts, hostesses and servers show little or no enthusiasm for their job and aren’t very friendly. It took me three times to realize that just because a place is a chain does not mean you will find consistency. I will never choose to go here again, nor will I go quietly if someone invites me. The best one was two blocks from my dad’s, but they closed. Still, I’d drive to South Town, or even Eagan and spend extra on gas before going here. Service I could really go either way about as long as the food is decent, but I have never had a nice experience at this one. As my father keeps bringing up, I once said, «Everything that was supposed to be warm was cold and everything that should have been cold was warm.» That pretty much sums it up.
