Vine Cliff Winery is a small, family-​owned winery. We proudly create premium Napa Valley wines that capture the essence and magic of the region. Our current varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, and we maintain estate vineyards in Oakville and Carneros. We are thrilled to announce the opening of Vine Cliff Cellars, located just south of downtown St. Helena. Please stop by to taste the wines of Vine Cliff in our beautiful newly opened Tasting Room.

History

Established in 2014.

Vine Cliff’s history dates back to the 1800s with its winery in Oakville. The St. Helena Tasting Room opened in early April this year.

The Tasting Room at St. Helena was designed by noted Napa Valley architect Howard J. Backen whose firm has been involved in the design of a number of wineries including Harlan Estate and The Napa Valley Reserve, residences as well as international resorts such as Esperanza in Los Cabo. This new Vine Cliff Tasting Room at St. Helena incorporates classic touches to a contemporary building. Backen, working with Proprietress Nell Sweeney and General Manager Rob Sweeney, designed the building with specifications that met the Sweeney Family’s dedication to energy conservation and green practices.

From the vine to the bottle, the winegrowing and winemaking at Vine Cliff Winery comes under the watchful and caring eye of Rob Sweeney. He is involved in making every vintage and varietal produced here, bringing a hands-​on style and familiarity with the estate that insure that we always meet our singular mandate — to produce the best possible wine every vintage.
