We were stranded on the side of the road and these amazing guys came to help us in no time! Get your car towed by these guys, they went out of their way to help us the best they could.

My daughter who is attending collage was having car problems. We called Brackens, big mistake! They towed her car had it for half a day and said nothing wrong. My daughter picked up the car and it died in the parking lot! Still said nothing wrong, just that she did not know how to drive, it’s an automatic! Charged for towing and diagnostic to do nothing car still ran like crap, ended up taking it to another shop to get fixed now I have to pay two bills. Not happy. DO NOT GO HERE especially if you are a female and teenager to boot.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Recently, I was having issues with my car, so I took it in to Bracken’s. I had such a terrible experience that I walked out in tears. Their customer service is absolutely awful. Not to mention, they didn’t even fix my car. I waited close to a half hour for a job that took 5 minutes. They read a code from the check engine light to determine that it was a cylinder misfire. They recommended an 8oz can of «injector cleaner.» Then they charged me nearly $ 80 for doing next to nothing!!! They are careless, inconsiderate, and ridiculously overpriced. The problem continued to occur so I took it into another auto shop and they were able to fix the issue for good.

My fiancé and I were on a trip from las Vegas to Zion, when we had electrical issues with our truck. Todd and his crew were a great help, and had us back on the road within an hour and a half. They were extremely fair in price, and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a car trouble in St. George!

I’ve been going to Brackens Auto for 10+ years. I’ve always got great prices on tires. I’ve had them install custom exhaust for the price other guys wanted to install MY muffler. I’ve always found Mr Bracken and his team to be extremely honest and friendly.

Buying tires ranks around the level of getting fillings at the dentist. I have to say, after shopping around I couldn’t find better prices on a pair of the tires I wanted. They didn’t have them in stock when I first went in, but they promised me they would have them first thing the next morning. Sure enough, they did. I wouldn’t hesitate to go to them for my next set of tires.

6 hours from home, 6 hours to our destination (Grand Junction, CO), I stopped with my family for the night in St George. Got out of the car at the hotel and see my front, drivers side wheel well is falling apart. The next morning at 8am I headed over to Bracken’s. I asked them to just cut the loose pieces off, but it was recommended that they try to save all the parts as they’re there for a reason (to protect the electronics from the elements). They ended up drilling small holes in the chassis and putting in zip ties. This fix ended up working great, done in about half an hour, and they didn’t charge me a thing! I was between a rock and a hard place and they didn’t take advantage of that. Highly recommend

I usually don’t write too many reviews on Unilocal,especially when the service is bad as I figure everyone should have a couple chances but what I experienced at this mechanic was too awful not to share and to warn others about. We were on a road trip this past week and passing through St. George just for the night. Unfortunately, the CV joint on my Subaru broke and we had to find a mechanic in the morning to get it fixed. We were thrilled to find Bracken’s open on a Sat. morning as St. George doesn’t have a lot of options. When you’re traveling you’re totally at the mercy of mechanics in the town that you are in. They took the car in and we tried to stay cool in the 100 degree heat for 4 hours while they worked on the car. $ 370 (!) later, we were fixed and on our way. 6 days later we pulled over in Las Vegas on our way back to LA as the car was smoking and we knew something was wrong. We pulled into the dealership (only place that was available at that point since it was on the weekend) to get an assessment as to what was happening as I knew it was something big as the car was slipping out of gear. It turns out that these idiots in St. George damaged my transmission housing and my car leaked oil all the way up to Montana and back. Not knowing enough to realize that it was the transmission and not just the oil (which I was checking regularly), I grinded through my transmission and now need a new transmission which is around $ 6,000. Unbelievable. If I lived anywhere near St. George I would certainly go back in and demand they replace my transmission that they were responsible for messing up so badly. I can’t believe people like this can work on cars and actually own a business. It’s one thing to damage a part here or there but to damage the transmission on a manual car that then causes the driver to GRIND THROUGH THE TRANSMISSION AND NEED TO REPLACE IT??? I now need to buy a new car!!! I can not say enough horrible things about this place. They clearly do not know the first thing about working on cars and you should stay far far far far away if you don’t want your car to be completely messed up.

I brought my van into this place to get a oil change, exhaust fixed, and transmission oil changed. Instead of calling me asking for permission on replacing the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor they just did it. Plus labor is through the rough. Bracken auto is sneaky and do not want to work with you on how much the labor is. They don’t call you before they do the work they just do it. Before you go to this place, I would think twice.
