Looking at the one star review, and understanding a little bit about the mechanics of CD players, I’d say either Starlit could not reproduce the skipping complaint or there was something defective about Gary D’s CD (some CD players are capable of playing defective or damaged CD’s in a satisfying way, and by design — other CD players are not)
But anyway, I stopped in today, and my impression of the owner was that he’s got his heart in the right place. Sometimes I dig into serious electronic projects, and the owner today was willing to assure me that I was going in the right direction, even tho I could tell he was seriously busy and really had no time to give to me. I took a brief tour of his shop also today, and I’d like to assure you that this shop is more capable than Gibson’s in Roseville.

Starlit rocks! I’ve brought many a vintage stereo here that I thought had given up the ghost of ever working again only to be resurrected by Starlit. Not only did they work again they looked and played like they were just out of the box.
They are very through in their repairs and will give you a honest opinion in weather something is worth being fixed or not. Also I found out yesterday they fix cracked Iphone screens $ 10 cheaper than anyone else I’d called.

After reading the good reviews about this place I figured it would be an honest and dependable place to go to. How wrong I was. They had my home CD player for 3 weeks because they said they had to order a part that would fix the skipping problem. When I went to pick the player up and asked them if I could see the old part, they said they couldn’t find it (you are always entitled to receive your old parts back). When I brought the player home and put a brand new cd in, it started skipping immediately. They gave me a refund but the point is, they should have fixed it in the first place. This place is irresponsible and they lost me for a future customer.
