SugarBot Sweet Shop

So awesome to have such a great place like this pop up in St. Charles. We met one of the owners, Jackie, who was so friendly and told us all about the place. They are located in a historic house that they fully restored using real raw materials that match the age of the home, making the interior trendy yet classic. Oh, and their bake goods are awesome. All made right there.
The city needs more high quality places like this. We will definitely be returning!

I am SO glad that SugarBot Sweet Shop moved to St. Charles! They have the most wonderful assortment of treats, and Jackie is always trying something new. I love going in to chat with her and see what she has available. The customer service here is always wonderful, and everything is so yummy! Our favorites are the galactic crunches and the cake pops… and the cupcakes… and the hedgehogs… and the brownies… we really love everything we’ve tried there!

Got two cupcakes for my sisters birthday and they were very yummy! The shop is very colorful and welcoming and all of the desserts are nicely displayed and easy to pick from! It was also pretty easy to find considering the bright painting on the exterior. The service was very pleasant, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

I cannot say enough about the awesome cake I ordered for my fiancé’s thirtieth birthday. It not only looked amazing, it also tasted amazing. It was like a dark chocolate heaven with cream cheese angels. Everyone raved about how cute and delicious it was. Jackie, the owner, also had GREAT customer service… great communication and everything was as promised. I’m definitely a new permanent customer.

Awful experience. I used to live in St. Louis & would frequent this bakery when they were located in Webster groves. I hadn’t been to their current location & decided to stop in for some cookies. Bad idea! After driving a half hour to get there, I look into the bakery case and there were literally 3 or 4 cookies total in there. The blonde working the counter goes, «somebody bought ‘em all» Seemed like she couldn’t have cared less that there was really no selection to choose from. I asked, «do you typically make additional cookies when you run out?» She says, «no not this late in the day… no. We’re slow on Sundays. You should call first next time» I arrived at the bakery close to 1pm… the bakery didn’t close until 5! What? There has to be a happy medium between minimizing waste & actually proving a product to sell to customers. Since, this place is primarily known for their cookies (the bakery used to be called «Very Best Cookies», it’s unacceptable to not have any available for purchase. I won’t be patronizing this business any longer. I shouldn’t have to call ahead to see if a bakery is actually selling baked goods on any given day. Ridiculous…

I totally love this little shop! St. Charles really needs more businesses like this, so I am totally glad to see them pop up just down the road from me.
Smallish building, but good things come in small packages! Sooo many delicious flavors and scents packed into this place! And I adore the colors they picked for the exterior and interior. It definitely grabs your eye as you are driving down 5^th street. When I see the turquoise house, I can almost smell the yummies!!! :-3
My favorite things are their cookies of course, but also the cupcakes. AHH so hard to pick a favorite, really. They are both made with nectar of the gods… I mean… sugar. Mmmm.
There is limited seating on the inside, but if I recall correctly, she mentioned they are planning to get a permit for outdoor patio seating, but that it is taking a while. They are also planning to add more signage out front, but the city is being a bum about it, which is totally lame, because I saw the plans for painting their logo on the bricks and it looks AWESOME!!!
Anyhoo, like I said, limited seating, so might be best to grab your goodies and run, but if you get there and it’s not too busy, worth sitting down and savoring your cookies, brownies, or other sugary treats. They’ve also got oldskool style jars of ‘penny candy’ if you know what I mean, sold by individual piece rather than weight. I love the choco race cars as they remind me of my childhood… my mom used to take me to a place when I was a kid and get me similar treats. Oh, and they do have drinks here. I believe I saw a pot of coffee brewing the last time I stopped in, and they do have water, and bottled cane sugar sodas like root beer. No ginger ale (yet?!) but lots of other flavorful options to choose from.
Did I mention the treats here are incredibly affordable? My eyes bugged out a little bit, in a good way… maybe because I was used to shopping for baked goods in the city for a while, where the norm is to pay $ 10 for bloody cupcake, LOL. Kudos to them for keeping things affordable and yet very high quality in flavor!
The owners have put SO much work into restoring this lovely historic building & building their bakery! Their time, dedication, and love really do show in the finished product, right down to the yummy cookies.
Highly recommend stopping in!

I have tried several different baked goods from SugarBot Sweet Shop in the last week & everything is very good! The cupcakes are so moist & the buttercream frosting is so freaking good! There are 5 types of cookies for sale and I highly suggest the oatmeal raisin all day every day. AND she makes her own marshmallows for her rice krispy treats! Which are also freaking delicious! The shop is adorable inside & out… I was told they recently renovated the building and have done a very good job!
So basically if you are looking for super delicious treats that you always want to eat but are too lazy to make (like me) the this is the bakery to visit!
