No words for how dope this joint is. I came in needing some Aida cloth for a project I am now working on(a cross stitch of the words«Tits») and found exactly what I needed here and then some. The owner is really kind and very knowledgeable about x-stitch. She will show you the way if you wander in utterly lost(like myself.) I have only spoken with one other employee besides the owner who was equally nice! I was showing them the pattern, expecting them to maybe freak out a little bit over the naughty words, but they laughed, and that was a relief. Need more gals like these with a sense of humor in this world, I say I say! Got some scraps of cloth to practice on — they have a 50 cent basket in the back, so go get ye some linen! — lots of the good DMC floss, and also even some kinda fancy schmancy hand-dyed floss on the wall. I told the owner I wanted to «bling my string» and so she sold me this awesome iridescent floss for pimpin’ yer projects. Winning! Protip: if you wanna come here when it’s busy(or you just fucking hate parallel parking, AHEM) drive down Jackson St, and park in the residential dead-end area. There. I just blew my(probably not so secret) Main street parking secret. LOL! :D I foresee I will make many many trips here. This is like my new Knit and Caboodle, awwright! Mad props to x-stitchers! If only they carried some slightly racier patterns… hehehe. Then I’d buy my patterns here too. But I realize not everyone is a crazy bastard and loves stitching vulgar phrases like«please do not do cocaine in my bathroom» and framing them in golden frames and hanging them in their homes. ^___^

What I love about this store is that you will find threads, patterns, and the various fabrics to cross stitch your design on that you will not find at the usual craft stores. I live in Imperial, MO, and I have driven all the way over here to shop. They will also stitch up the outer edges of purchased fabric to prevent fraying while stitching(another service not provided at craft stores). It is worth the drive to find what I need.

This store is chock-full of all kind of cross-stitch materials — patterns and kits from many manufacturers; thread and floss of all kinds, gauges and brands; needles; backing material; and fabric — stamped goods and needle arts. Two fabulously knowledgeable women were extremely helpful in fabric selection, and gathering pattern and matching the correct floss, as well as making a recommendation for using a thread and contrasting floss to make the pattern stand out more.
