History

Established in 1969.

St. Andrews Barber shop opened in 1969 the first owner’s name was Bob Wallace. At the time it was one of the first shops to open in the area. It quickly became a popular place to be in St. Charles. In 1991 Bob sold the shop to Bill Daniel and under his ownership the shop continued to thrive! Always known for excellent service and great conversations it’s reputation was known throughout the neighborhood. In 2003 Bill sold the shop to Cathy Hensler an employee who had worked there since 1993. Cathy took the shop to the next level by opening on Mondays and offering a complimentary ice cold beer with a haircut. Today the shop is one of the only places in St. Charles where you can still get a straight razor shave and every type of military and standard haircut there is. For over 45 years St. Andrews Barber Shop has always put the customer first by providing the best service in town!

Business Owner

Cathy Hensler has been a barber since 1981. She came to work at St Andrews in 1993 and became the proprietor in 2003. Her idea of opening up on Mondays and offering a complimentary cold beer with cut was a huge success with the neighborhood. She has a large clientele of happy and loyal customers.
