History

Established in 1945.

The stirrings of entrepreneurship that launched J. Bathe Electric Co. began during World War II.

Its devotion to customer service now courses through four generations of family ownership.

1942 Founder Martin Bathe Sr. moved from Argle Mo., a small town near Jefferson City, to St. Louis where he found war-​time employment at a small arms plant as the foreman of electrical maintenance.

1945 Martin Bathe Sr. founds Bathe Electric Co., employing 15 electricians out of the garage of his home in Jennings, Mo.

1995 Following in the entrepreneurial footsteps of his father and grandfather, Jeff Bathe establishes J. Bathe Electric, expanding and building on the knowledge acquired in his 16 years of service.

2001 J. Bathe Electric sees substantial growth and relocates to a larger office and 5,000-square-foot warehouse in St. Charles, Mo.

2004 J. Bathe Electric hires Dave Davis to oversee Home-​Tech, a division of J. Bathe which specializes in low-​voltage, home electronic technology.
