Howling Good Dog Boarding

When I lived in Missouri, earlier this year, my Gracie went to A Howlin’ Good Time daycare from the day she was old enough to have her Bordetella shot (at 12 weeks old). Gracie also spent several nights at A Howlin’ Good Time and took advantage of their grooming services.
While we were in Missouri, I knew this was a 5-​Star facility and I knew my Gracie got the best love and service one could get. But I never realized how good A Howlin’ Good Time is until I moved away and have used other daycare and overnight services.
At A Howlin’ Good Time, every staff person knows each pet’s name and they know each pet’s personal belongings, like harnesses, leashes, etc. At my current daycare, Gracie sometimes comes home with a nametag on her collar (which concerns me that her collar isn’t removed during the day) and her name is written on masking tape and stuck to her leach (although I have my nametag on her leash and have asked them to not put masking tape on it).
I always thought Gracie didn’t love me as much as the Howlin’ Good Time staff … especially Adam. She was always happy to get to daycare, each morning, and not always thrilled to leave. At her new daycare, the staff processes Gracie in and out … it’s almost like she’s a number in queue. And she’s not so excited about being there.
When I picked up Gracie from A Howlin’ Good Time, she was mostly clean … only ruffled from playing so hard with other fur babies. And best of all, she was exhausted from her day’s activities. Now when I pick her up from her new daycare, she has wood chip shavings in her hair and she’s a mess. At A Howlin’ Good Time, potty time is outside in the cleanest environment.
In addition to A Howlin’ Good Time providing a clean and safe facility, they provide constant attention and entertainment. I’ve seen photos where the pups chase soap bubbles and play with toys … as well as take a nap in a separate safe cubicle. They have a full day of attention and activity.
The Howlin’ Good Time price and fee structure is absolutely reasonable and worth every penny I paid. Gracie got a great start in life with socialization and with trusting people who gave her such loving care.
There are not enough words to describe how great Michele and her staff are and how superior A Howlin’ Good Time is to three other facilities I’ve used, since I moved from Missouri. I think Michele’s next venture should be consulting with pet care facility owners so better options can be found in other cities. She certainly knows what she’s doing and Gracie & I love Michele and her staff for all of the great care we got.

Mike is great! We have left our pup with him many times now and feel totally comfortable with him. When we first inquired with him, he set up a meeting with us ahead of time so he could get to know our dogs and have them meet his dogs. I’m so glad he asked to do this ahead of time because one of my dogs (who is very reactive and wary of strangers) did not work out with meeting Mike and his dog. However, my other girl had no problem. Mike sends us updates and pictures while we’re out of town, great communication! He really knows what he’s doing and has a lot of experience. We will be taking our girl there for a long time :-)

I was in town with my tiny puppy and needed to find a day care last minute…
Howling Good is wonderful:
— accepts phone calls in the evening.
— very responsive with information and scheduling logistics.
— experienced with all sorts of dogs.
— sends pics and video to show you how your dog is doing on her first day.
— they limit the number of dogs per day so your dog is guaranteed individualized attn.
— my dog got outdoor play time and got a lot of lap time too since she’s tiny in comparison to the other dogs that were there.
— great price!
Next time I’m in town for business, I will definitely be using their services again.

Our dog was well cared for during her stay. Michael is attentive and very professional — from the pre-​visit and meeting to pick-​up and drop off. I felt at ease knowing she was safe and given lots of love while i was away!

visiting in St Louis, had to leave little chihuahua for day car. Selected Howling Good Dog Boarding for 2 day care visits. He was introduced to the 4 other dogs there. Even though the other dogs were big, everyone got along just fine. Nice to know one can leave a cherished pal in good hands.
