Meet the Business Owner
Cary O.
Business Owner
Cary O’Brien has served the beauty industry over 30 years. Starting young in his mother’s salons, Cary learned quickly and had his own salon by the age of 21. O’Brien became an in-salon educator for Rusk Inc. in 1990. Teaching in salons and working back stage at hair shows his talents to cut, style, teach and lead developed fast. In 1993 Cary was asked to join the Rusk Team as Mid-West Education Manager reporting directly to Irvine and Louise Rusk. Performing on stage teaching the latest cutting and finishing technics, planning education events, and training teams of stylists to cut, style and share the Rusk message were just a few of his responsibilities. Cary was promoted to National Manager in 1996. Cary remained in this role thru 1999 but stayed on as Guest Artist performing on stage. O’Brien was asked to join the Professional Beauty Assoc. in 2002 as part of Board of Directors. Cary served 10 years and was President of the salon section from 2009 – 2011. Teaching is Cary’s passion.
